Well, 2 years have passed and with patch 1.6, it is safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is now a playable game. While there is still some cut content that has not been patched in yet, Cyberpunk 2077 is still fun. If you are a returning player, then here’s a guide on what to do when you start.

First thing you should do when you come back is to start all over again. Doesn’t matter how far you were in your previous save, you have to start all over to experience the new content that was added in patch 1.6. It also helps to start a new save to avoid game breaking bugs that still appear in a save.
When you start a new game, you will have to choose what lifepath you want to go through. While there are very minimal changes to the lifepath and how it affects the story, there are some newly added dialogues that brings out the experience of a Nomad or Street Kid.
When playing the game, be aware that certain player choices can lock content. Whether it’s a main mission or a side quest, your player choice matters and it will affect how the main mission or side quest play out. Choosing certain player choices can lead to character death, locked weapons, and other things. If you are not sure about which choice is good for you, then you can always search the internet for guides.
Another tip to take note is the Attribute Points you are given. You will have a limited number of them, so always make sure that you are putting them in the right attribute you want. They also affect your gameplay, giving you new dialogue options or actions you can do in the world.
You can always look up builds online to help you in your decision making process. And if you do have a build and have decided it’s not your style, you can always reset your perks and build your character up again the way you want.
You should also explore Night City as much as you can. Not only will you find some crazy stuff, but you can also find great loot and even some cool side quests that are only available if you explore enough. Enemies will also have some cool weapons and even unique ones if you can find them.
Lastly, watch the Danger Levels. If you enter an area with a Danger Level that’s higher than you can handle, you get out of the area. They will undoubtedly kill you with just a few attacks. Sometimes, you can run into these areas with high Danger Levels without knowing, so you should always run away when you do. Come back when you’re stronger.
