Become the ultimate Colonist Leader!

Stranded: Alien Dawn - Complete Beginner's Guide

Stranded: Alien Dawn is a complex survival game where you will be looking out for your colonists. You will need to take care of their needs and protection as the most important things. But other than that, there are plenty of other minor details that you will need to know too. In this guide, we will be giving you a Stranded: Alien Dawn – Complete Beginner’s Guide to the most important things to survive for years! Let’s get started.

Complete Beginner’s Guide – Stranded Alien Dawn

These here are the best tips if you are a beginner that knows the basics but still can’t withstand just a couple of days without dying.

Recommended & Best Party

This is the best party that you can have as a starter and beginner in Stranded Alien Dawn. It simply works and when combined together you will have a very effective and productive team:

  • Ken – Sending him on successive explore missions will ensure that you never run out of scrap or components on ANY MISSION you take him on. If his level of happiness is poor, then just send him out to look for insects. In our opinion, he is crucial and best.
  • Greyson – Because of his poor pace, he should never be allowed to leave the base; yet, he has four times the speed of other researchers and crafters. Additionally, he is skilled at woodworking, which accounts for around 95% of the materials you will need. He will have a quicker rate of production for apparel than everyone else in the game.
  • Venessa – That’s Gresyon’s wife, and in addition to providing medical assistance, she lifts people’s spirits via music.
  • Hann – When compared to Conner, Hann is superior since he has a 25% chance of causing death with a shot and a 100% chance if they do not notice him. However, if you equip him with a rifle (far range), some of his shots will cause instant death. particularly if they are asleep at the time.

Go To The Bugs Before They Go To You

Be proactive on these bug assaults. Try to find them before they find you. I use the fire to scare them and then run away. Sometimes they get scared and run back. Even if you get Ash Storm , go if the enemy is there.

Don’t take it slow and wait for them to come to you. This has proven time after time that you will lose a whole lot more this way. When they attack you do have a better defensive advantage, but you will lose a building or crop or two.

Instead, when you attack them, you will always have a safe base behind your back.

Breaks

Make advantage of the work schedule to ensure that they have time to unwind and relax between 10 and 11 and 12 o’clock. DO NOT SCHEDULE BREAKS IN THE DAY. There are no lunch breaks either.

As the system works right now, this is the best schedule to follow to get your colonists to work as much as possible without getting negative overworking traits.

Clothing

Because it evaporates quickly, you should get started on the clothing right away. The best materials to use are those made of leather. Keep away from farming for as long as you can because as soon as you plant your first crop, all hell is going to break out. Get in line as soon as possible for the freezer.

We have two guides showing how you are able to get Cloth and Leather. They will help you out at both gatherings with the most needed items to build up your clothing.

We also recommend that you build those clothing buildings as soon as possible.

Base

You will want to build a base as soon as possible. You will need to place your colonists on working for building materials and set up the first walls around you for protection. Just keep in mind that when you make a base you will want to place it far away from the work.

If you have the beds close to the workers, you will often times wake them up. So keep that in mind when making your base. It needs to be in a suitable location.

Guns

You will want to go for these guns at all times:

  • Concussion Rifle
  • Laser Pistol

They are simply the best and will make sure that you will pass and clear out any enemies that might be coming for you. We highly recommend that you stick with them and use them for every character that you have.

That’s everything that you need to know if you are a beginner in Stranded Alien Dawn. We hope that this guide has helped you out and made you a better overall player of the game. Good luck!

  1. I’ve been pulling my hair out!
Is there anyway that I can direct a survivor to dismantle a rack with items on it.
I’m not talking about clicking it and g picking “Dismantle”, I want to “force” a character to dismantle something.

    Hope someone can help.

    THX

    • Just click the survivor you want to command and then right click the target. it will offer you the action options. click that while your survivor is selected and it should work.

    • You need people set high on handle for the shelves to get done. Handle/deliver need to be set to 1 on at least two people I prefer all of my people. If it’s low on everyone things pile up and you have people running out to pick stuff up off the ground to cook, build, and craft. The empty/deconstruct of shelves and the like can only be done by the handle and they don’t currently have a right click option. If everyone is set to 1 on it they get done fast. Set the priority task to 2 and secondary to 3, everything else to 4 or 5. With handle/deliver 1 you don’t have to wait for things to get do
