There are a lot of new content in the game so let’s explore some of them! Two of the new resources are Pine Cones and Rust, and in this guide, we’ll show you where to find these in the game!

Rust and Pine Cone Locations | How to Find them in Grounded

There are two new resources in Grounded and that’s Pinecones and Rust, and you’ll need these to craft some of the better weapons in the game. For pinecones you’ll need them to craft the Tick Macuahuitl sword, an amazing weapon that has life-steal which means you can actually heal using this sword.

Another great weapon is the Rusty Spear, which the name implies needs rust, a great weapon to kill termites that drop termite parts that you can use to make repair glue! So, here’s where you can find them:

Pinecones

To find pinecones are pretty easy, to get them is another matter. At the upper right parts of the map, you can find a bunch of pinecones lying around, this area is also filled with enemies so keep that in mind and bring a weapon.

You also need to bring a tier 3 hammer, since you need them to even break pinecones. So, at the very least bring a Black Ox Hammer, after you have that just go to a pinecone and swing away.

Rust

To find rust is pretty easy and is pretty close by from where you can find pinecones. Just get to the top right of the map and look for this square, that’s actually a big red toolbox so keep an eye out for that.

Once you’re in the area you’ll find all of these rusty nails and bolts lying around, you’ll need a tier 3 hammer to gather them. Each nail can give you around 1 to 4 pieces of rust and there’s a lot of them in the area so start swinging that hammer!

Congratulations you now know where to find pinecones and rust in Grounded, now go out there and gather those resources and craft those new items!
