With World of Warcraft’s 18th Anniversary in full swing, we celebrate 18 whole years of World of Warcraft and its effect on the MMO genre. We also celebrate that World of Warcraft is now able to vote, because it is 18 years old.
How to Get Free Mount, Easy Gear & DOUBLE XP in the WoW 18th Anniversary Event
I cannot believe that there are people younger than World of Warcraft.
With that said, World of Warcraft drops some anniversary goodies when you log in now. That includes a Celebration Package, an Invitation from the Timewalkers (which is a quest), Celebration Firerwork, and 200 Timewarped Badge.
Besides the Anniversary Gift, you can do some other fun activities when you go to the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, which is where the celebration is being held. There, you can do stuff like Khadgar-ball Soccer, a Displaced Scarab Gong to bang, and you get to enjoy the legendary Leeroy Jenkins’ Fried Chicken. You can even join a queue for the Anniversary raid and other battleground events.
One of the main highlights of the anniversary is the Alterac Valley of Olde event. It is similar to Alterac Valley, but not completely identical. Here, you will be summoning bosses and completing quests while you fight to the end. You will receive no reinforcement and no time limit, so this will be a very long match.
You can earn more Timewarped Badge and x200 Alterac Valley of Olde if you participate, you don’t even have to win. You can even get the Frostwolf Snarler and Stormpike Battle Ram from each respective faction. No purchases, just free mounts. But you have to do some quests like More Armor Scraps and The Graveyards of Alterac. Gear such as Ice Barbed Spear and The Lobotomizer can be earned too, so it is worth joining in.
