Orange crystals can be found in God of War Ragnarok once you get to Vanaheim. You can get crystalline shards and pieces by breaking them.

How to Get the Wishing Well in God of War Ragnarok
The Cleansing Pool may be found inside the Wishing Well in God of War: Ragnarok. The Crystalline Shards you acquired here are usable. Kratos will receive armor components and accessories from the Shards.
While the fragments will provide you with materials for level 9 upgrades. Shards are more common than fragments. The wishing well is located near Vanaheim, which is south of the Crater.
Going to the Wishing Well
By heading to the Crag Jaw Dragon Hunt location in the Sinkholes, you can go to the Wishing Well. Go right to enter a cave when you first see a dragon in Vanaheim.
Inside the cave, you will encounter the Crag Jaw, and you can choose to fight it with it. Follow the path until you come to a passage blocked off by plants that spit.
As you ascend, you will come across The Wishing Well, a location with red water.
Orange crystals can be found along the path. To use a Crystalline Shard or Fragment in the Cleansing Pool within the Wishing Well, destroy these things.
You should visit the Wishing Well if you want to max Kratos because it is the only place to obtain materials for level 9 upgrades.
