Sonic Frontiers features an improved combat system that may remind players of Dragon Ball Z fights. Fast punches and jump kicks, the improved combat system gives Sonic Frontiers much more possibilities for the bosses. And boy, did they take advantage of it. The bosses in Sonic Frontiers are large, robotic creatures. It genuinely feels like you’re playing Shadow of the Colossus with a Sonic skin slapped on to it. But that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Large boss fights are awesome, and this guide will focus on fighting the large Spider boss in Sonic Frontiers.
How To Beat Spider Enemy – Sonic Frontiers
The Spider enemy is a large, spider-like boss. It is rather slow, but it does incredibly damage when hit. Its legs are the easiest parts to hit, but it can only be damaged by using Cyloop. If you try to attack the legs, there will be a force field defending it. It’s better to attack the legs one by one instead of doing one large Cyloop that covers the Spider.
There will be times that the Spider will trip and fall when you deal enough damage. This is the perfect time to do a large Cyloop, but only if you are fast enough. If not, the do a Cyloop on the limb that caused the spider to fall.
The Spider will eventually throw you high up into the air and throw a lot of mines and projectiles at you. This can be easily dodged. However, you will see blue and yellow rings as you fall. Go through these rings as they will turn into projectiles that will damage the Spider. The yellow rings do a lot of damage, so don’t miss this one.
Once you do enough damage, the Spider’s main body will lose its armor and will be exposed to you. That’s when you can start attacking the Spider head on. Eventually, the Spider will be destroyed.
