God of War is well known for its over-the-top Boss fights and puzzle-like battle mechanics. God of War Ragnarok However, mixes it up with a mix of boss battles with human-sized opponents.
Don’t let your guard up though, the Fit for a King Favor is considered to be one of the toughest side queststo beat in this game. It may not be as flashy as fighting 10-foot monsters but the boss fights here are still as deadly.
You have to upgrade your rune magic and equipment to face King Hrolf and his retinue of Berserkers to even stand a chance against one of these titans.

Guide to All Berserker Locations and Defeating King Hrolf in Fit for A King
To Challenge the Fit for a King Content, you must have the inert Hilt of Skofung and access to all the Realms in the Game. To do this, you have to complete the game and have good equipment.
Since this is an end-game challenge, you might not be able to complete it right after you finish the game. You will have to reinforce your equipment and upgrade your weapons as well as your companion’s rune magic to stand a chance against the enemies.
The favor is activated when you interact with your first gravestone. This can be challenged in any order so we will be showing you the 9 berserker gravestone locations for you to complete.
Beigadr the Feared (Svartalfheim)
Head to the Boat Dock in Alberich Island and interact with the Gravestone. Here, you will have to face Beigadr the Feared.
Hardrefill the Callous (Svartalfheim)
If you make your way south from Alberich Island, Hardrefill’s gravestone will be there to the East of Myrkr Tunnels.
Bodvar the Fierce and Starolfr the Troublesome (Svartalfeim)
The Gravestone by the Applecore Mystic Gateway contains two Berserkers. Defeat both of them to clear the arena.
Fraeki the Zealous (Midgard)
Heading out to the grave marker in the Frozen Lake of Nine will pit you against Fraeki the Zealous.
Hvitserker the Bold (Vanaheim)
Travelling to the Pilgrims Lane in Vanaheim will bring you to the gravestone of Hvitserker the Bold.
Haklanger the Bearded (Vanaheim)
Going to the Sinkholes in Vanaheim will bring you to Haklanger the Bearded.
Svipdagr the Cold and Sisters of Illska (Alfheim)
Make your way to The Barrens of Alfheim to battle two Berserkers at once. Svipdagr the Cold and the Sisters of Illsa.
Hjalti the Solid (Alfheim)
To the left side of the Barrens nests the Forbidden Sands of Alfheim. Make your way there to do battle with Hjalti the Solid.
Skjothendi the Unnering (Niflheim)
We recommend you do the Gravestone in Niflheim last. Skjothendi the Unnering has high damage and unpredictable move sets. Equipping the items you get from the previous berserker fights will give you an advantage so save this for last.
King Hrolf (Midgard)
With all 11 Berserkers laid to rest, the final battle with King Hrolf is the only obstacle in your way. Head towards where you found the hilt of the Skofung Sword and awaken the King.
King Hrolf Strategy
One thing that makes facing the King difficult is Hrolf’s weapon ability to switch to different types. He switches his weapons to Mace, Warhammer, and longsword. That, and his ability to vanish and reappear near you while swinging can be tough on your health if he gets you with a stunning blow with his two-handed weapons.
Dodge his attacks and wait for Freya to tackle him with a knockback skill before delivering your combinations. The sword chain works well in delivering significant damage but only if you manage to do all three combo hits on him.
If you miss your weapon combo, quickly dodge away since Hrolf is guaranteed to deliver high damage especially if you miss your shots.
Defeating the King will clear the Fit for A King Favor as well as grant you the “Grave Mistake” Achievement in God of War Ragnarok.
