God of War Ragnarok is full of many unopened chests, similar to God of War 2018. If you try to open one, you will notice that even Kratos struggles a bit to open large chest. It really makes you think that maybe the reason why it’s been unopened for so long (besides the fact that it’s either located in a tomb full of Draugr, or it’s in the bottom of the ocean), is maybe no one is strong enough to open it, until Kratos arrives. In Frey’s Camp, there’re 2 chests you can get, so don’t miss out on them.
God of War Ragnarok – 2 Legendary Chest Locations
Before you get started, you first need to reach the part in the story where you get the Draupnir Spear. Otherwise, you will not be able to reach one of the Legendary Chests. Once you have the spear, then you can go back to Freyr’s Camp.
The first Legendary Chest is in Freyr’s Camp.
Go to the part of the camp where you have to jump across the water to reach this crack in the wall with air coming out of it. Use the Draupnir Spear and throw it at the crack, then detonate the spear to make a hole. Inside, you will find the first Legendary Chest.
The second Legendary Chest can be found just outside Freyr’s Camp, in the area where you fight the Forest Guardian.
Go to this area, and you should find a wall that can be detonated with the spear. You will then have a way to climb up.
You will have to scale across walls in order to reach the Legendary Chest. Once you have opened it, then you have found all the Legendary Chests in Freyr’s Camp.
