Darktide is simply a blast to play because of its characters. They are all unique and amazing to play as because of how different they are and the many choices that you have to choose from in terms of skills and builds. In this guide, we will be going over All the classes and showing you how to play them. Let’s get started.

All Classes Guide | Builds, Skills, & How To Play Each Character – Warhammer Darktide

All of these characters and classes that you are able to play as in Darktide are very different from each other and unique. This is especially the case when you will be designing your own character with different skills. There are a total of 4 main characters to play as though.

Zealot

The Preacher, or the Zealot, is a very powerful frontline character. It has a lot of passives and abilities that revolve around closing into the melee range and slashing and overwhelming enemies with devastating attacks.

You will want to be pushing in front as much as possible with this character. You aren’t necessarily a tank type of character, but you’re dealing the most amount of damage when you are actually in front and toe to toe with the enemies.

These are the skills that you need to be playing with when playing as the Preacher. You can of course tweak them to your liking but always make sure that you will take the ones that will allow for maximum healing and damage dealing from up close.

To be working well with your skills, you will need to go with the Thunder Hammer and the Purgation Flamer as your main weapons. You can also take the Eviscerator because it works very well with the pushing ability. With them, you can go into a lake of enemies and hold your ground.

No matter what you need to be the one that will be up close and personal with the enemies and even in front of the main tank because of your agile and quick movement speed.

Psyker

The Psyker, unlike the Zealot, will need to be way way behind on the very back of your squad. This character is a very unique and hybrid type of playstyle that will have you getting inside the heads of the enemies in front of you.

This animation and attack will take time and you cannot hold your own if you take the first steps in front of the enemies. Let your squad mates go in front while you can support them from the back and really make a change.

Although you are a squishy character, with the Psyker you are arguably the best character to be dealing with hightarget enemies. You can make a big change when fighting with a big boss and the Psyker is the character to be dealing with them.

You will need to be next to your companions because they will get a lot of good buffs for them, but for you too.

Skills & Weapons

The skill ceiling for this class is sky-high. We cannot even begin to start playing around with all the skills that his class has. You can literally build your own playstyle with all types of skills everything according to your playstyle. No matter what you go with will have you controlling the most powerful class in the game.

Most of your gameplay and skills will revolve around popping as many heads as possible. You will have a meter and a counter in the middle of your screen that will go up and down. You will want to keep that meter always at least more than 60%.

The more you have the better and stronger skills you will be able to use in big battles. You will need to be careful when using so many of the skills because you can get into a state of not controlling your character, making meditating or ultimate ability a must.

Orgryn

Not a whole lot can be said about the Orgryn. It is the typical tank type of character that will need you to go in the very front of the battles and your companions. You will be soaking in a lot of the DMG and being the pillar of your group.

You are not designed to absorb hits with this character though, instead, you are here just to take aggro from the enemies so keep that in mind.

Skills & Weapons

These are the skills that you will want to stick with. They are very good, especially when dealing with a lot of enemies coming your way. You will be dealing a lot of DPS while also having a lot of crown control with this build.

The Cleaver and the Reaper Gun is what you will want to be playing with Orgryn. You will be able to take out so many enemies coming into one big line in front of you. The Riot Shield is also very good especially when you are dealing with a lot of turrets and big enemies.

Veteran

If you want to play Darktide like a casual and normal FPS game, well Veteran Sharpshooter is the class for you. You will have a very big choice of weapons and skills to plow through enemies coming your way. All of his tactics are very straightforward too.

You will be shooting with an automatic rifle while pushing forward and reversing back once a lot of enemies come near you. Once enemies are next to you, you’ll use grenades to back them off.

You will have more toughness than everybody else making you pretty much able to stick to a point and trade with a lot of enemies very effectively.

Skills & Weapons

This is the pretty much most wellrounded class and skills in the entire game if you stick with this build. You will be able to hold your ground next to enemies and also do amazing at range.

The Plasma Gun is something that you want to be using a lot other than your automatic rifle gun. Watch out for the heating rate of it because you can easily get yourself killed because of it. When enemies are close to you, the Power Sword is the way to go.

That’s all that there is to it! We hope that this guide has helped you out with how you need to play these 4 characters. A big thank you to milkandcookiesTW from YouTube. Check him out here for more details.
