The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have brought the players a lot of changes and modifications. One of the most notable feature changes is its new open-world mechanic. Plus, the new set of Pokemon for this generation.

Despite all these changes, this game’s version still didn’t remove the traces of its predecessor versions. The Pokemon from the previous versions can still be found in this world. One of which is Riolu.

Since this game involves a completely different map, catching Riolu may be a little different from how it used to be. That being said, we made this guide to help you locate the map area that Riolu inhabits.

How to Catch Riolu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Catching a Riolu is pretty easy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. You can actually get this as early as your first batch of Pokemon. All you have to know is the location where several Riolu spawns.

As shown in the picture, head to the southern area of Cortondo (West). If you do not have access to cross the river, head to the eastern part of Cortondo wherein you can find the way to get to the marked location.

Once you get there, head under the giant stone arch, and you can immediately find a Riolu.

Basically, that’s where you can find and catch Riolu.
