While playing the story of God of War Ragnarok you will come across a very interesting and warm character by the name of Sindri. There is a certain point of the game where Sindri changes completely and it is connected to the Brok’s Hammer.

In this article, we shall explain the reason behind that change as well as why exactly did Sindri pick up and use Brok’s Hammer when nobody expected him to do so. Let’s get started.

God of War Ragnarok – The Reason Sindri Picked Up Brok’s Hammer

Sindri is a character placed in the God of War Ragnarok game to basically represent every human out there. He is that perfect little side character that has a sense of humor, that is humble and fights with the bad as it comes, dreams very big, is sensitive, needy, and all the things that you don’t want to see in the main protagonist that’s supposed to lead the story.

He is also a germophobe and very anxious about all the things that might happen to him as can be seen through the story of the game. The human nature of that is that sometimes people can do certain things in their life by only thinking of themselves.

When the sad point of the game comes and what happens to Brok, we will see Sindri picking up Brok’s Hammer to use it when it was needed. And not only that, but he also takes off his gloves who are the protector of Sindri and the trauma of germs that he has.

The developers wanted to give this humanlike character who is resenting and closed off to give a different side of him. This is especially the case in real life too, especially very common in grief and in loss when people take on the characteristics of the person that is gone as a way to keep them alive. This way you are seeing Sinri basically taking on the things and hurting for Brok while also doing whatever he can best to basically keep Brok alive and next to him still.

Atreus is growing up and discovering things that he hasn’t seen before. While Sindri is on the other hand blocking things he has dealt with before. It is basically a way of seeing a character deep in emotion and childlike motion of trying to hang on to what they had from a very close friend of theirs.

That is the story and the point that is behind the reason why Sindri picked up Brok’s Hammer although he is very scared of germs and isn’t anything like him. It is a moment that has touched and moved a lot of players. A big thank you to 19th Hour for giving ur this information about the developer’s opinion.
