There are lots of cosmetics that will form and shape your wizard in Hogwarts Legacy just the way you want them to be. If you wanted to go for a Merlin hat, you can do so, if you wanted a black arts cap, you’re free to do so as well.

If you wanted to get a Troll Hat, however, you’ll need to go through some steps first.

In this guide, we shall show you how to get a troll hat. Let’s get started.

Hogwarts Legacy – How to Get Troll Hat

You are going to need to start the Troll Control Side Quest to be able to obtain the Troll Hat for yourself.

Follow the location shown above and you can start the quest easily. Here you will find the NPC quest giver Ignatia Wildsmith and she will give it to you.

Troll Control

The first task that you need to do for this quest is actually moving toward the Troll’s Den where the Trolls will be located at.

Once you get here you will quickly realize that it is a very big troll boss that you need to deal with.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. So just use your typical spells on it and after a while of dodging his attacks and returning quite a bit of them to him, the troll will go down.

Once you kill him you need to enter the cave and ruin behind him.

Pick up all of the pages that you will find inside and then head on over back to where you took the quest.

After you finish it, you shall obtain the Troll Hat. Congratulations!

We hope that this guide has helped you out on what you need to do in order to get yourself a Troll Hat. Have fun wearing it around Hogwarts!
