There are probably only a few weapons that are as iconic as the Katana, along with the memes of it being folded a million times and can cut through guns like it’s made out of butter. This iconic medieval weapon of Japan wasn’t even that great of a battlefield weapon, but movies and games sure made them the ultimate killing weapons, and Sons of the Forest is one of those games.
That’s right you can get the Katana in Sons of the Forest, and in this guide, we’ll show you where to find it so you can go cut trees, mutants, and everything else with one sword stroke, okay maybe more than one.
Sons Of The Forest – Katana Location
There are a lot of different weapons you can find in Sons of the Forest, from Axes to Machetes to ranged weapons like Shotguns and Revolvers.
Often these weapons are hidden around the map and you’ll need to find them, one of the weapons that are a bit tougher to find is the Katana and this is where you can find it.
Before you go running to the location remember to bring a bunch of supplies and good gear since the place you’re going to is pretty tough. You’ll also need a Maintenance Keycard, so you will need to find it first.
Now you’ll need to head to the eastern part of the island where there’s a large lake, and to the side away from the mountain is a cave, you can use the images above and below for reference on where to find it.

Once you get inside the cave you’ll need to open the door with the Maintenance keycard, once you’re in you’ll need to go through the underground base.
Keep an eye out for the place shown below, to the right is where you’ll find a hallway to another room.
In that room, you’ll find the Katana resting on a stand inside the room. Well in the image below it’s already being held but you get the point.
Congratulations you now know where to find the Katana in Sons of the Forest, now go out there and try to get it yourself! Cut those enemies into ribbons and look cool while doing so!
