Limbus Company – Basic Mechanics Beginner’s Guide

New game, new mechanics to learn!

There’s a new Gacha game out there and it’s from the same developers as Lobotomy Corporation. The game is Limbus Company and unlike the previous game made by ProjectMoon, this one is a free Gacha game that you can play on your phone and on PC on Steam.

The game is a bit more complex than other Gacha games though, with some amazing gameplay mechanics that can be a bit hard to wrap your head around at the start.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to.

Basic Mechanics Beginner’s Guide For Limbus Company

When you start Limbus Company for the first time and go through the introduction and the tutorial part of the game you’ll be thrown with a lot of text which I believe is the worse way of teaching a game’s mechanic to someone.

Nothing like reliving your time in History class when you needed to read a novel’s worth of text to understand things.

We’ll go through the basic mechanics of the game in Layman’s terms.

Other Gacha games have hundreds of characters in store for you, Limbus Company doesn’t do that. Instead, you have 12 characters and each one of them has different Identities.

Each Identity has their own different skills and passives. So a character can play vastly differently depending on their Identity.

Each character can also equip E.G.O.s and they’re basically ultimate abilities that can combine well with certain skills and passives. EGOs are character specific and even with different Identities they can still use the same EGO.

Usually, you build your team around EGOs so that you can maximize their output.

Both EGOs and Identities can be increased in Tiers making them more powerful as they unlock more skills and passives.

When it comes to team building there’s a lot more to learn about, since each character has different affinities and each EGO has its own affinity cost. These Affinities are basically what you rack up with normal attacks so you can use the stronger EGOs.

We have a guide right here that goes further on the basics of Team Building in Limbus Company. Be sure to check it!

The game has a lot more mechanics in terms of combat and even when fighting certain bosses so keep an eye out for more guides here so that you can learn more about the game!
