There are many different class elements that you will unlock and get better at as you progress through the main story of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
In this guide, we are going to explain to you what they do, and which one you should go for depending on your certain playstyle. Let’s get started.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Which Class Element Should You Upgrade?
There are 5 total different Classes, Virtues, or Traits and here they are:
- Wood
- Fire
- Earth
- Metal
- Water
If you enter a Battle Flag that you can find throughout the maps, you will get the option to Level Up. Pressing up on the buttons will get you to increase the virtue number by 1 on whatever you have chosen.
You can see how much is required for the points, or Qi, on the left side of your screen.
#1 Wood
Wood is the first element that you will see in the game and it will give you lighting and plant–based skills.
You are also going to get Spirit Defence as well as Spirit Gain when attacking. These are very much needed when an enemy is making a red attack.
This is the safest upgrade route to go for because it offers 3 major class upgrades, whereas all the rest offer only 2. They are very good if you want to do physical damage to the enemy monsters as well as use the environment to your advantage to entangle and stun them.
#2 Fire
Fire is the next on the list and this route will give you fire and damage buff spells.
You are going to get the most amount of damage increase from this class element, as well as less consumption of your Martial Arts. This means that you can use your weapon abilities more often.
There are tons of spells that you can go for, and you guessed it, they do a lot of damage, if not the most. You get to burn your enemies to a crisp with the damage over time dealt to them. There are ranged but also melee fire attacks too.
#3 Earth
This class element route will upgrade your maximum Weight, allowing you to wear heavier armor which will give you many buffs in terms of protection. You also gain deflect chance as well as getting some buffs for your weapons in terms of damage.
This is the typical tank class that will give you choices to stun enemies, push them back, and you’ll be able to take a lot of damage coming your way.
#4 Metal
This is your poison class, yes, it is a little confusing. All of the spells and skills are based on venom and corrosion, as well as thorns.
You get spirit stability which allows you to maintain a high-level spirit for longer. The best part is the decrease in Wizard Spell consumption which will allow you to use your spells way more often.
So if you want to use a lot of spells in a very short time that does a lot of damage on impact, as well as over time, this is the route you should go for.
#5 Water
This is your rouge-stealth-like class. You are going to be able to turn invisible which is the strongest asset of this class element. Teleportation is also something that you can use, obscuring the view of the enemies as well as getting them trapped all around.
There are some skills and spells in this class that do a lot of damage on their own even without the need of going stealthy like a frozen arrow, or frost lance as well as giving you the ability to deflect more attacks.
