Phantom Brigade – Subsystem Modification Guide

Figure out how to use the Subsystem Modification system with this guide.

Customizing your mech to look cool should always be a priority. After all, no one wants to fight with a mech that looks like it could fall apart at the slightest movement. However, you should also focus on making your mech better status-wise. Being able to look cool in a fight isn’t going to matter if you get one shot by an enemy.

That’s why you should invest in looking at the Subsystem Modification when customizing your mech. Here’s a guide on how to do just that.

How Subsystem Modification Works

Source: MikuPriest

When you get Salvaged Mech Parts, sometimes they come with Subsystems. They can either be scrapped for extra supplies, or you can remove them and attach them to your current mech.

Common (Gray) parts usually have pre-attached Subsystems on them, meaning they cannot be removed and attached to others.

Uncommon (Green) parts on the other hand, as well as above Uncommon, can have Subsystems that can be removed and reattached somewhere else.

The only thing you should be aware of is that when you customize the Subsystems of parts, you can only customize them if they are in the same category.

For example, this part has three Subsystems: Offensive Module, Reactor, and Thruster.

As you can see in the Offensive Module, they are all Subsystems with Offensive Module labeled under them. That means that if you want to use these Subsystems on another part, that part must have an Offensive Module Subsystem.

The same goes for Reactor and Thruster. You cannot put any other Subsystem category in their slots unless that Subsystem is the same as from which part they came from.

Huge thanks to MikuPriest for the information on how the salvage system works in Phantom Brigade.
