When it comes to playing ARPG you either have a knack for what numbers are good to see, or you have absolutely no idea with what you’re doing. You either choose a build and a set of skills at random only to regret it later because you found that it doesn’t suit your playstyle or you just end up stuck in character creation completely.

That can be prevented, in this guide, we’ll show you one of the builds you can go for if you’re ever gunning for something tanky yet mobile.

Shield Throw Paladin Build Guide | Patch 0.9 | Last Epoch

Let’s start with the pros and cons, the build is quite flashy and has incredible scaling with gear and idols but has heavy buff management and is quite vulnerable to DoT damage, just like with almost any other Sentinel build.

There’s plenty more to talk about so let’s check out what else you can do!

  • Your number one skill is Sheild Throw, pair it up with Shield Barrage so cooldown no longer becomes an issue.
  • Throw in Molten Toss, Spiked Plates, and Rygar’s Fury to the mix as well to deal extra fire damage and increase your block chance respectively.
  • Another thing you should consider getting is Sharpened Rim to upgrade your base critical strike chance to at least 4%.

Here’s where you can dump the rest of your points for the rest of your build.

  • Armor Clad reduces the damage taken from your enemies and grants you an additional bonus of +75 armor.
  • Get Valiant Charge to further reduce to cooldown you get along with getting +30 bonus health.
  • Take a good look at the rest of the points invested into passives on the image provided as well if you like to keep things simple. But do remember to invest in Juggernaut for extra strength and resistance against Fire and Void damage.

And that’s all you need! For armor, you can just add a Sentinel’s Solarium Plate Of Life to further supplement the critical strike chance you get from throwing by 76% and focus on getting more items that give you all-around resistance to keep your defenses up.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
