Sonic Frontiers: Fix Launching Then Closing | Crash

Mystery and intrigue awaits you.

Every now and then you’ll always have that one game in your library that simply refuses to function without giving you a splitting headache. Sonic Frontiers, along with many others still have that feature sadly, causing everyone else’s patience to crumble fast.

Luckily the amount of noise these problems are causing are enough for a couple of solutions to pop up, so if you haven’t been able to play your favorite platformer lately then read the guide and find out more how to fix the launching and crashing to desktop issues you’re experiencing.

Fix Launching, Closing, Crash – Sonic Frontiers

One of the most recent updates have a play in the issues everybody is going through where the game simply launches and closes without any warning after a few seconds.

And surprisingly, a steam verification or a clean reinstall aren’t enough to fix the problem, so let’s take a deeper dive into your commons folder and see what the root of all this frustration is.

People said that the update had conflicting effects on their game files, so go into your steamapps folder and open the folder where Sonic Frontiers is located and move your mods folder elsewhere.

It can go both ways when trying to figure out whether if it’s the update causing all of this or the mods you have from the workshop.

Now don’t delete the mods just yet, make a backup like you normally would and unsubscribe from anything else that may have something to do with the crash. With that out of the way you’ll be able to get to the main menu without any more problems.

If you still want to play with mods, then move them back into the folder one by one to see which specific file is ruining your gaming day.
