Crab Champions: All Totems Guide

What was originally just a funny video about crabs raving on a beach, turned into a video game announcement of Crab Champions, an April Fool’s joke that Noisestorm uploaded on his YouTube channel.

It was just a cheeky little joke that a lot of people laughed at until 3 years later, Crab Champions was released on April Fool’s day.

The funny joke becomes an actual reality as you get to play as crabs, shooting guns at enemies.

In this guide, we will show you what each totem does in the game so you can better understand when you should use it.

All Totems Guide – Crab Champions

There are a total of 9 totems in the game that you can use, all having different uses. However, take note that some of these totems are a real gamble, that they can take instead of give.

They also blow up after use, so make sure to watch out for that too.

#1 Health Totem

Don’t be fooled by the name of the totem, because it is not always friendly.

The Health Totem has a 50% chance to double your max health, but it also has a 50% to halve it as well. Meaning you are essentially playing Russian Roulette to see if your health will get a boost or if it will get worst.

#2 Crystal Totem

The Crystal Totem will grant you 497 Crystals, but you will lose 33% of your health.

Similar to the Health Totem, you will lose nearly half of your health if you want to get crystals.

#3 Chance Totem

If you want to take a gamble and get an item in exchange for your health, you can do so by using the Chance Totem. You will lose 10% of your health in exchange for a 25% chance to get a random pickup.

#4 Random Totem

If you go in with a build that has all of the items you need to complete a run and you accidentally hit a Random Totem, then say goodbye to that build.

This totem will completely randomize everything you have on you.

Sometimes it’s with good stuff, sometimes it’s with bad stuff. It’s a 50/50 chance.

#5 Gamble Totem

Similar to Chance Totem, the Gamble Totem will have a 25% chance to drop an item for every 77 Crystals you give it.

#6 Fuse Totem

The Fuse Totem has a pretty short fuse, meaning that once you get close enough, the totem will explode.

It won’t matter if you haven’t gotten an item from it or not, you need to hit the Fuse Totem as soon as you approach it, or else it will explode.

#7 Gold Totem

Gold Totem is arguably one of the best totems in the game. For only 25% of your health, you can get a legendary item.

25% for any legendary item isn’t that bad of a trade, honestly, and if you play well, the missing health won’t be a bother.

#8 Greed Totem

The Greed Totem will give you a massively powerful perk that helps you defeat enemies, but with a horrible side effect.

For example, you can get the Playing With Power perk that allows you to deal 300% more damage, but you will also be able to hurt yourself with that damage.

#9 Glass Totem

The Glass Totem will give you any item of any rarity for free. The catch is: the totem will explode after you get the item. It is, after all, glass.

That’s all of the totems!
