If you’re not on the run from whatever’s giving chase to you you’re probably out fishing for beasts that have never seen the light of day. That’s the gist of the gameplay loop of Dredge and to be honest it’s quite calming until the sun sets at least.

Now with over a hundred species of fish, it can be quite difficult to find a specific one that specializes in keeping to itself while avoiding human contact, this would be the Stoplight Loosejaw.

You can find its various hiding spots in this here guide if you haven’t already, but there’s a place you’ll have to visit first to get started.

Stoplight Loosejaw Location | Dredge

Go and visit the Researcher at Old Fortress in Stellar Basin, you’ll start a pursuit where you have to bring different species of fish here.

This person is more of a rational being compared to the hooded figures who’re only known for eating fish raw and throwing books at you.

There are two spots where you can get a Stoplight Loosejaw, the first one is just northeast of the Old Fortress over at the bottom left-hand side of E6.

Sail around the area until you see Disturbed Waters that have red lights moving underneath them, these places would be home to the Loosejaw you’re looking for.

If the fish aren’t biting then the next location you can visit is the southwest of Stellar Basin, specifically at H2. Gather a few specimens for yourself and bring one extra back to the Researcher at the Old Fortress to receive a book called A Plan for the Future.

No, the book doesn’t talk about the New Deal, reading it will instead give you a 15% chance to not reduce your fish stocks while using your rod.

This bonus goes hand in hand with the Sustainable Fishing Book if you already have it in your possession, if not then go complete the Package Delivery Pursuit in order to obtain it!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
