Right now, in Survival Fountain of Youth, there are a total of 16 skills. There might be more in the future since the game is still in development as Early Access.
These skills when leveled up can give you some great bonuses as you play the game. These can range from making certain items easier to make them a bit quicker.
The maximum level for each skill is Level 10 and as you go higher the skills give more bonuses. Leveling these skills is actually quite easy since all you need to do is repeatedly use the skill.
For example, the Shooting skill levels up the more you shoot things. Strength is increased when carrying a heavy load and when dealing with melee damage.
Each skill can get 3 passives when you level them up, but you can get even more by finding books scattered around the world. These books when used will instantly give you another passive for a skill so it’s great to look for these.
