With the new Legend of Zelda game Tears of the Kingdom, there’s a lot of new stuff. One of the biggest additions to the game is the verticality of the map with new sky islands and even underground areas. Of course, with new areas comes new challenges and most of them unlock stuff for you to explore!
In this guide, we’ll show you how to do the Courage Island Challenge in one of the new Sky Islands. Now, let’s get ready since it’s going to be quite a steep dive!
Courage Island Challenge Guide
The Courage Island Challenge is actually one that you can do in the game to spawn one of the shrines in the game. At the end of the challenge, the shrine spawns in and you can go check that out!
Here are the steps we’ll be taking to do this challenge:
- Locate Courage Island via a Skyview Tower.
- Get to the Island and start the challenge.
- Complete the challenge by going through green hoops!
Since Courage Island is a Sky island, we’ll need to launch ourselves really high to get there. That’s where the Skyview Towers come in, and the closest one to this island is the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower!
Once you launch yourself into the air with the tower start paragliding to the southeast. You can use the image below as a reference on where to go.
The island can be a bit difficult to see at the very top of the launch but as you glide down you’ll be able to spot it. Land on the island and interact with the stone circle in the middle of the island shown below.
Once you interact with the stone circle a short cutscene will play and at the back of the island a green circle will appear. That’s the starting point of the challenge and you’ll need to jump through it and dive down to continue the challenge.
Once you jump through the first circle the next one will spawn in. Try to dive down and go through the green circles. When you do so the next one spawns in until you reach the bottom.
If the next circle is out of your dive angle, use your paraglider to correct your course. The last circle will be on top of a small pond, so you won’t die of fall damage.
Go through all of the green circles and reach the very end and that will finish the challenge!
Afterwards a short cutscene will play and a shrine will spawn nearby. That’s actually the Taunhiy Shrine and in our guide on that shrine we go through on how to finish it. So make sure to check that one out to clear that shrine!
