Risk your life for someone else!

Scouting ahead is never an easy job. You either discover something that’s never meant to be seen by the human eye or you just don’t make the trip going back. Luckily, Sesami hasn’t made that much progress yet with his quest. This means the responsibility of finding the pirate hideout now falls onto you.

There’s only a few islands in Tears of the Kingdom, not counting the ones above ground level of course. Sesami is also confident (somewhat) that the hideout he’s looking for is on the same island both of you are standing on. Follow the guide to find out if his guess is right on the money!

Seeking The Pirate Hideout Guide

To begin the quest, talk to Sesami on Eventide Island on the bottom right corner of the map. Aid him in his search by clearing the strongholds around the island. The first one is right behind him, the second stronghold can be found on the mountains southwest of the island. The third stronghold is at Koholit Rock. Finding The Pirate Hideout for Sesami will award you with a Blue-Maned Lynel Saber Horn.

To get to the first stronghold, head northeast. You’ll find a ladder at the base of the stronghold, use that to gain access to the top.

As you scale the stronghold a health bar will appear. This indicates the monsters within the area that needs clearing. Get rid of any Bokoblins you see as you’re making your way to the top to clear a way for Sesami later. Once the stronghold is free of enemies your objective will update.

While you’re at the top of the first stronghold, use your glider to get to the next stronghold. The Toronbo Beach South Stronghold will need the same amount of cleansing when you get there.

With two of the three strongholds cleared, you now have a clear view of where to go next. Pull out your glider again and make your way to Koholit Rock.

Koholit Rock is surprisingly the easiest to clear out as most of the Bokoblins can be found in one place. If the health bar is still there then you’ll have to find the stragglers around the area.

Go back to Sesami and tell him that the three strongholds are clear. He’ll tell you about a pirate ship that just disappeared on the southeastern side of Koholit Rock.

Make your way back to Koholit Rock. This time go all the way to the bottom right corner. Once you’re at the peak, jump off the cliff. The Pirate Hideoutis right below where you’re standing.

You have now discovered the Eventide Island Cave. There’s only one thing left to do. Well, two things to be exact. Clear the cave and report back to Sesami! He’ll reward you the Blue-Maned Lynel Saber Horn for your troubles.
