When you don’t want to be at a certain place at any given time, you would have a plethora of excuses at the ready. That or you just don’t show up and worry about the consequences later. This applies surprisingly well in The Backrooms since you definitely have a lot more to be worried about than forcing yourself to socialize with your relatives.

During the Fun level where you avoid certain death, you’ll be taking on the local Partygoers. In this guide, we’ll get you to the kiddie pool section where you can slide your way towards level 37!

During your stay on the Fun floor, you’ll be using the plastic tables for cover whenever you attract the attention of the local Partygoers. There will be no puzzles or gathering of items like in level 4 or level 5 either. All you have to do is keep your head low and know when to run, walk, or hide.

Here’s what you’ll be doing during this level:

  1. Go through the carpeted section where all the Partygoers and hiding spots are.
  2. Find the one room that’s different from the rest of the level.
  3. Gain access to the pool slides and clear the level.

Detailed Walkthrough

The level starts off in front of a narrow corridor, you only have to make a left turn at the end to encounter your first group of Partygoers.

A loud nursery rhyme will be blasting throughout hallway whenever the Partygoers are nearby. You can get away with your life in these sections by crouching and keeping your distance. Don’t get too close, they’re mildly deaf, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely off their rockers. Cross the hallway and squeeze into the corridor on the other side.

Once you make it across in one piece, turn right as it’s the only option you have. Turn left and you’ll encounter more Partygoers so stay crouched and face right.

There’s two Partygoers here, both of them will be on your left. Hug the wall to your right as you go to the other side.

This corner will really stimulate your senses since you’ll essentially be in front of one Partygoer while crossing. Surprisingly, the fellow won’t give a toss as long as you remain crouched.

The next part is just a simple left turn. Once the next section is visible to you, turn right at the very end.

Leave the tables and return to the corridor by turning right. Again, stay crouched and hug the wall. You’ll be pulling off another miracle as you make your way past another Partygoer.

There’s only one path to follow and it will eventually lead you to the room that has a tiled floor pattern. This is accompanied by balloons, streamers, and colored walls. Turn left using any of the doors, they empty into the same room.

Turn left once more into the tiled corridor. That will lead to the kiddie pool, which also doubles as the exit to the next level.

Choose whichever color besuits you as all slides will give you the same result, which would be death access to level 37.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
