Congratulations! You’ve beat Dead Island 2. I must say, your tolerance for the Hell-A dialogue is highly commendable. Also, you must have lots of takeaways like how some zombies are literally immune to sharp objects and hammers, like what? Play the Game with a Different Slayer
This is one of the more obvious options. The game offers different dialogue and personality on the story for the characters. Not only that, but all the characters feature different Innate Skills and builds as well which spices things up in terms of actual gameplay.
Here’s an example of the dialogue changing for different characters:
- Jacob – “You are so gonna regret this, Sunshine!”
- Dani – “Oh, you want to play?! Let’s jam!”
- Bruno – “The show’s over, freak!”
- Ryan – “Hey, touching’s extra, *****!”

- Amy – “F****ng psycho!”
Get the Platinum Trophy
As you know, the game doesn’t have a difficulty option which is a bit of a downer. However, what you can do to test your limits and skills is to try to get the “Who Do You Voodoo?” achievement which is basically the game’s Platinum Trophy. In order to get it, you’ll have to do all other achievements in the game and complete it to 100%. I’ve heard getting it is brutal and really tests your patience. If you’re interested in finding out, go ahead and give it a try!
Do a Speedrun
Now, if the Platinum Trophy challenge is still not enough, you can further take your limit to the extremes by doing a Speedrun challenge. The current world record is in 1 hour, 32 minutes and 13 seconds. That’s insane considering how much time I spent hours trying to defeat the Reubenator. Well, if you’re one of the folks who’s up for the challenge, go ahead and bunnyhop your way out of the islands!
Collect The Best Weapons
One of the best features of Dead Island 2 is its variety of types of weapons. There are katanas, knuckles if you enjoy punching and beating zombies around, sledgehammers that turn zombies into pulp, and many more. With that said, there are 8 Legendary Weapons that you can get, which all involve gimmicky quests. So, if you haven’t done that, make sure to not miss out!
Mess Around the Game
Sometimes, what you can do in the game is just mess around and maybe get the boredom out of the game. Some things you can consider doing are to hop into lobbies with randoms, get together with your friends, and many more. You can even play the game while playing limitations to yourself like Kick-only or Melee-only gameplay, the sky is the limit!
Have Fun with Mods
If you’ve been familiar with these, then you must have thought about installing them at least once. This game is not an exception to modding, which can change your experience from fairly simple zombie gameplay to pure chaos.
