Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Ursaluna Moveset Guide | Home Update

Beware the Build-A-Bear.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has received the new Home update that allows compatibility with Pokémon Home and the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. Other than that, there are other changes that have been made to the game, such as buffs and nerfs. In the case of Ursaluna, this Pokémon got a very big buff after the latest Home update. In this guide, I will be showing you the best Ursualuna moveset that you should have if you are thinking of having Ursaluna in your team.

Ursaluna Moveset Guide

Ursaluna is a Ground and Normal type Pokémon. This Pokémon has a high HP and Attack base stat, with everything else being mid to low. Ursaluna is mostly used for offense, but can be turned into a tank if built correctly. However, Ursaluna shines more as DPS, which is the goal of this guide.

Before we move on to the moves, I would like to express that you will need the Flame Orb item on Ursaluna, along with the Guts ability. The reason for this is because the Guts ability allows Ursaluna to have 1.5x damage boost when they are inflicted with status ailments, like Burn. It also ignores the side effect of Burn that reduces the Attack of the Pokemon. We are essentially getting a big damage boost in exchange for little damage every turn, which is great.

Here are the moves that you should get for Ursaluna:

  • Facade – A great skill to have, as this move doubles the power if the Pokémon is burned, poisoned, or paralyzed.
  • Headlong Rush – Has great attack power, but every use will lower the Defense and Special Defense of Ursaluna by 1.
    • Earthquake – A great alternative for Headlong Rush. It has less attack power, but it will have no side effects.
  • Fire Punch – With the Flame Orb and Guts ability, the Fire Punch is turned into a deadly attack that.
  • Drain Punch – Seeing as how Ursaluna will be taking damage the whole fight to get the 1.5x damage boost, Drain Punch is a good way to get health back while fighting.
