When going around the many different places in Tears of the Kingdom you might run into a few side quests. Some of these side quests can be quite easy, while others need you to look for certain NPCs or items. The Disaster in Gerudo is one of those quests where you’ll need to search for some NPCs in an area.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to finish the Disaster in Gerudo Canyon side quest in the game and where to find these NPCs. Now to find where these guys are!

Disaster in Gerudo Canyon Side Quest Guide

The Disaster in Gerudo side quest needs you to find 3 NPCs around an area. The game doesn’t really hand hold you that much and you’ll need to find them in your own.

Here are the steps we’ll be taking to finish this side quest:

  1. Start the quest by talking to Quince in the Gerudo Canyon Pass at -1661, -2014, -0015.
  2. (Optional) Get a Splash Fruit from Naia if you don’t have one.
  3. Find Botrick in the Stalry Plateau Cave at -1536, -2217, -0020.
  4. Find Giro at -1895, -2356, -0001 and give him a Splash Fruit.
  5. Find Garill at -2188, -1854, 0150 and give him a spicy pepper.
  6. Go back and talk to Quince to complete the quest!

Detailed Walkthrough

To start off, we’ll need to go and start the quest. To do that you’ll need to go to the Gerudo Canyon Pass southeast of Mount Nabooru. There you’ll be looking for the NPC Quince.

Tears Of The Kingdom Gerudo Canyon Pass

The coordinates for this NPC is around -1661, -2014, -0015. Talk to him and he’ll tell you to look for 3 NPCs around the area to the south. One of the NPCs needs a Splash Fruit, which you can get from Naia in the same area.

Tears Of The Kingdom Quince Talking

Talk to Naia and she’ll tell you about the path ahead. She’ll then ask you a series of questions. Here are the answers for each question:

  1. Stay Near a Fire!
  2. A nice, shady spot!
  3. Chillshroom!
  4. Into a Cave!

Once you answer all of the questions correctly she’ll give you a Splash Fruit. Make sure to keep that for later.

Tears Of The Kingdom Naia Conversation

Once you have the fruit, you can then start looking for the 3 NPCs. The closest one is just southeast of the Gerudo Canyon Pass. Inside the Stalry Plateau Cave, the coordinates are: -1536, -2217, -0020.

The NPC’s name is Botrick and he’ll be hiding behind one of the rocks in the cave. Once you talk to him a couple of monsters will spawn in and you’ll need to defeat them to continue. Once you’ve cleared the enemies he’ll talk to you some more before going back to the camp.

The next NPC is to the southwest of the previous one. This time you’ll be looking for a campfire, it’s easy to spot because of the smoke it makes. The coordinates of the NPC is around: -1895, -2356, -0001.

The NPC’s name is Giro and he’ll be sitting next to the campfire. Once you talk to him he’ll ask for a Splash Fruit and once you give one to him he’ll go back to the camp.

For the last NPC we’ll head northwest of the previous one. You’ll need to do some climbing for this one since the coordinates are around: -2188, -1854, 0150.

This NPC’s name is Garill and he’ll be sitting next to a campfire as well. Talk to him and he’ll ask for a Spicy Pepper. Once you give him one he’ll go back to the camp! You can find Spicy Peppers all over the Great Sky Island at the start.

Once you find all of the 3 NPCs you can then go back to Quince. When you talk to him the NPCs you found will go there and it’ll finish the side quest!

That’s how you finish the Disaster in Gerudo Canyon side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There’s a lot more side quests out there so try to do all of them!
