There’s a lot of cool and tough fights you can do in Rider World, from fighting mobs to bosses it’s all fun with the grind. There are some places in the game though that can really test your skill and power in the game, and one is the Smart Trial. This trial needs you to fight a boss and a sub-boss at the same time, but the rewards are worth it. In this trial you can get the Legendary drop Fyze’s Totem!
In this guide we’ll show you how to do the Smart Trial and what you can expect inside. We’ll also teach you about the mechanics of the fight and what you need to do. Now let’s see what this trial is all about!
How to Smart Trial
The Smart Trial is a repeatable quest that you can grind in Rider World. You’ll need to have at least a Level 80 Traveler to start this quest. This trial includes fighting a boss and a sub boss at the same time so make sure you’re ready!
Here are the steps we’ll be taking to do the Smart Trial:
- Talk to the Tunnel Engineer near the Factory’s Pipe Tunnel in the Village map.
- Talk to Takumi to start the Trial.
- Fight the Boss until it’s HP is 1/5.
- The Boss will be Immune, kite him to a sign in the arena.
- Sign will spawn a sub boss, defeat him to remove the Boss’ shield.
- Defeat both Boss and Sub Boss to finish the Trial!

Detailed Walkthrough
So to start the trial you’ll first need to go to the Village map and look for the Factory’s Pipe Tunnel, it’s not that hard to find. It’s a big tunnel with an NPC in the middle. Talk to the Tunnel Engineer NPC and he’ll teleport you to the Trial location.
Once in the location look for the NPC shown below. That’s Takumi and he’ll start the Trial for you, so make sure you’re ready for a tough fight!
Once Takumi starts the Trial a boss will appear in the middle shown below. The boss will either be Fyze or Raging Steed, either way you’ll need to defeat them! If Takumi doesn’t spawn the boss that means the boss is in cooldown for a total of 2 minutes.
Fight the boss until they start the invulnerable phase when they hit 1/5 of their HP. Once they’re invulnerable go to either of the two signs shown below. Make sure to let the boss get as close as possible and a sub boss will appear!
Defeat the sub boss and the main boss will be able to take damage again. Once you defeat the boss you’ll finish the Trial!
You can actually fight this Trial with a friend, and if both of you use the same Rider you’ll have a 2x Damage buff! Also note that if you die with the sub boss spawned, you’ll need to damage the main boss again and summon the sub boss as well to finish the fight.
