The Risk of Rain 2 features various biomes and locations, and one of them is the Abandoned Aqueduct, a vast desert on Petrichor V, and it’s also a Stage 2 environment you can encounter. As the name suggests, there is a large abandoned and ruined aqueduct with giant skeletons and tar pools spread around the area.

Now, if you want to enter the hidden chamber and unlock the Death Do Us Part challenge, you should know that this won’t be a walk in the park. You’ll need to find the Ancient Gate and activate the two Pressure Plates simultaneously.

There are eight of them, and they can only spawn at specific locations, so here’s where you can find them.

Abandoned Aqueduct | Pressure Plate Spawn Locations

Locating All Pressure Plates

  • Pressure Plate #1

➲ The first one is located by a rock, right across the hole from the gate.

  • Pressure Plate #2

➲ The second Pressure Plate is a bit concealed behind a rock near the gap which leads to the Aqueduct area.

  • Pressure Plate #3

➲ Next, for the third Pressure Plate, go near the trees, found across the hole to the left side of the Aqueduct.

  • Pressure Plate #4

➲ You’ll find the fourth pressure plate next to the rock, close to the hole leading to the map’s open area

  • Pressure Plate #5

➲ As for the fifth pressure plate, head to the leftmost corner of the map. Then, look for the rock near the bridge and small canyon.

  • Pressure Plate #6

➲ The sixth potential spawn location for the pressure plate is just next to a rock located between the tunnel and the gap in the map’s open section.

  • Pressure Plate #7

➲ You can find pressure plate number seven stifled in the bush, next to a rock located beside the hole where the Aqueduct goes.

  • Pressure Plate #8

➲ Finally, you can find the last one between two rocks in the mid section, beneath the aqueduct.

Beyond the Ancient Gate

Now that you know the exact locations of the pressure plate spawn locations, you need to activate both simultaneously to open the Ancient Gate.

You can do so with any weighted objects or by stepping on them. Once you enter the Ancient Gate, two elites will emerge – Kjaro and Runald, the Elite Elder Lemurians.

When you defeat them, you will be rewarded Kjaro’s Band and Runald’s Band from each, and you’ll then unlock the Death Do Us Part challenge.
