The Helm of Urtkot quest has you retrieve a relic called the Helm of Urtkot in a witch’s tomb. And as with any tomb in Hogwarts Legacy, this one is filled with loot chests and puzzles.

As such, it can be a bit annoying to go through all of those puzzles just to get your hands on the chests. But the rewards you can get are all worth it.

So, if you’re interested in solving all the puzzles and looting all chests in the Witch’s Tomb, this guide is for you.

Starting the Quest

Source: Quick Tips

You can start the quest after talking to Sirona in The Three Broomsticks and Lodgok in the Hogshead tavern. Just follow the quest marker on your map which will take you to the northern part of Hogwarts.

Meet Lodgok near the Witch’s tomb which is marked on your map. You can use the fast travel point nearby to get there fast. After talking to Lodgok, he will then take you to the tomb’s entrance.

Once you’re inside the Collector’s Cave, it’s not time to start looking for the helmet. As you go, you will come across the following door puzzles:

First Moth Door

You will notice there is a moth missing from the ornate statue pictured above which opens the door. Keep going down the same tunnel you were heading to find the moth flying around.

Use Lumos to catch it and return it to the door.

Continue to the next room to find a chest.

Second Moth Door

Continue down the main path until you find a room with a tomb and another door that requires a moth to open. You’ll need three moths for this door, two of which you’ll find on both sides of the room.

The third moth is behind a barricade that you should push down with Depulso. Return all of the moths to the door and keep going forward.

The next room will have an Inferi which you must defeat. After that, look for the chest in the same room.

Third Moth Door

The next room will require you to slot a moth in the moth-themed statue in the middle of the room. Use Depulso to spin the statue to reveal a platform where you’ll find the third moth.

Move all three moths into the door slots and go deeper into the tomb.

The next room will have a lot of loot. Make sure to use Depulso on the barricade to find more chests on the ledges. Drop the counterweight to reveal an opening on the floor.

Go through the opening and go into the next room where you’ll find more Inferi. Defeat them, loot the room, grab a moth, and place it in the statue.

Moth Puzzle

In the next room, stand on the platform and use Depulso on the contraption in the room to raise it.

Once the platform stops, head left and down the hill where you’ll find a room with two chests. Return from where you came and grab the moth.

Jump over the gap and place the moth on the door before the platform goes back down. Now, drop back down and spin the contraption again.

There is another contraption pillar in the room which will rise when you spin the contraption to the left.

Fourth Moth Puzzle

Now, grab the second moth and put it on top of the contraption.

Raise the platform again and cast Depulso on the contraption in front of you and head back up. From there, quickly run to the right and grab the second moth from the raised pillar.

Slot the moth into the door.

Collect the Final Moth

The third moth can be found to the right of the door in an alcove. Slot it into the door and go to the final room to find a chest you can loot.

Exit the tomb using the secret passageway at the back and speak with Lodgok afterward.
