The Seekers of the Storm DLC takes place on a massive statue of Providence, who was also the final boss in the original Risk of Rain. Players must “travel the path of the Colossus” and ascend levels to defeat the final boss named The False Son.
But the reveals do not end here. If you’re eager to learn more about the DLC, keep reading and we’ll fill you in with all the spoilers and teasers.
All Spoilers & Teasers for Seekers of the Storm DLC
Gearbox has revealed many things about the game like what’s included in the Seekers of the Storm DLC that we’ve covered in another article. However, there are players who seek to learn more information about the game that’s unrevealed like all the hidden features, special characters, items, and equipment. This guide is just for you guys.
We’ll cover leaks, spoilers, and some teasers that were either subtly revealed (or not revealed at all) by the creators through either Dev Diaries or other platforms.
We’ll reveal everything we know about the following.
- Monsters
- Stages
- Items
Monsters
- Child’s Bundle of Death ability is as dangerous and powerful as the rest of the family’s move despite this enemy being a fraction of their size.
- We’ve learned of another Golem-like enemy from the trailer. The name of the enemy and its attacks are more toward the unknown side.
- Here’s what we know about Scorch worm. You can expect a creature shaped like a worm and looks as if it’s been created with Lava.
- If we look closely in Dev Diary 3, you’ll discover another enemy similar to Aureleonite. This enemy’s function is not confirmed as of yet, but they appear to have a shield as shown in the Dev Diary.
Stages
We’ve learned that every original stage is going to receive a night mode variant. You can only access it by looping. This opens other new areas that have a wealth of new features and are unique in their appearances.
- Treeborn Colony: In the Treeborn colony, we see an area filled with lush ecosystems and plants surrounding the location at every step. In the night mode version, you’ll see the greenery replaced with large mushrooms. The monsters that will seemingly spawn in this location, according to the Diaries, are:
- Alpha Constructs
- Brass Contraption
- Jellyfish
- Alloy Vultures
- Beetles
- Clay Apothecary
- Clay Templar
- Wisps
- Greater Wisps
- Clay Dunestrider
- Xi Construct
- Stone Golem
- Shattered Abode: According to the lore, the Shattered Abode is the place where the First Son first became corrupt. This location has been confirmed to be the new Stage 1 map. The monsters in this abode include:
- Wisps
- Beatles
- Stone Golem
- Children
- Lemurian
- Stone Titans
- Wandering Vagrant
- Bison
- Reformed Colony: The reformed Colony is now the new end-game area. Players can access this area through the green Portal. The centerpiece of this map are all of The Titanic Feet of the Statue of Providence. Known enemies from this map are:
- Wisps
- Beetles
- Stone Golems
- Lemurians
- Elder Lemurians
Additionally, people believe that two more stages are confirmed to be in the path of the Colosseus.
- Helman Sanctuary: Lastly, there’s the Helman Sanctuary. The map’s atmosphere is covered in a deep red color similar to that of how one would expect hell to be. This stage holds the Statue of the Magma Worm corpse as its centerpiece.
Now let’s move on to the items
Items
There hasn’t been much word about what items will be released in the DLC but players have already spotted 11 of them on their own without word from the creators.
- In one of the scenes in the Diary, a star balloon is shown to be equipped by the seeker.
- In another scene, you can spot two new items: Monte’s hair and a broken fuel cell.
- There’s the warped Echo that splits any incoming damage into two hits.
- In one of the scenes, you’ll have to look carefully but you might spot the Antler item that presumably grants a shield.
- A triangle shaped item
- A console that looks like the Nintendo Console.
- 4 more items that are a bit too ambiguous to identify
Finally, no new bosses or endings are confirmed yet, but the Survivors of the Void DLC may imply that players get another way to end their journey. And that is everything so far. If more leaks or news surface before the DLC drops, we’ll keep you updated!
