The Demon Slayer Update 2 is here for Anime Last Stand, expanding even further on the previous update with loads of new content and fixes.

There are new units, new mechanics, a reworked interface, dozens of bug fixes, and even more. All of it centered around the Demon Slayer-inspired content added with the previous update, of course. If you’re a fan of that anime and manga, you’re in for a treat.

In this guide, we’ll go tell you everything that this new update adds and changes, so that you aren’t left out of the loop!

Demon Slayer Update 2 Guide | Quick Breakdown of the Update

Anime Last Stand: Demon Slayer Update 2 gameplay

This update, just like the previous update, focuses primarily on content inspired by the Demon Slayer anime and manga. It primarily adds 3 new units inspired by it, alongside a big rework to make the units added in the previous update even better. If you’re a Demon Slayer fan and like Anime Last Stand, rejoice!

The other notable changes added with this update include a new item type called Capsules, a gifting system, reworked progression systems, and more. To top it all off, the devs quickly followed up this update with a hotfix patch which fixed a large host of bugs, including progression-blocking ones. It made a great update even better!

Do note, though, that the official numbering for the updates is a bit confusing. This is officially Update 6/5. In essence, it’s the second half of the Demon Slayer update, officially known as Update 6. Since fans just refer to it as Demon Slayer Update 2 because it’s less confusing, we’re using that term as well.

Anyway, that’s just the broad strokes of what you can expect if you only want to know the basics. If you want to know even more, let’s dive into the details of everything that was changed, added, and fixed!

Major New Changes and Additions Detailed

Demon capsule drop
  • Added Capsules – A brand-new item that you can open to get random items. You can get them from the AFK Zone and the Deep Sea Infinite Mode after completing the game’s Story Mode.
  • Gifting System – You can now give away items to other players via the new gifting system. Of course, some players are also using this to trade.
  • Higher Speed Modes – You can now set the game to x2 speed on Infinite Mode and x1.5 speed on Raids and Portals. Farming got faster!
  • Improved Battlepass – The required XP for every level was reduced by half, making the Battlepass progress much faster!
  • Improved Stat Cubes – You can now get Stat Cubes from bosses in Infinite Mode after Wave 20. Also, they are much more common in later waves than before.
  • New Codes – New redeemable codes for some sweet rewards, as follows:
    • DemonPortals!! – 5 Rerolls
    • 170kLikes – 5 Rerolls
    • 170kFavorites – 500 Gems
New Nezuko Evolution
  • New Units – Two whole new units and a new Evolution inspired by Demon Slayer, as follows:
    • Flame Pillar (Rengoku) – Random drop from Demon Capsules.
    • Demon Moon Guy (Akaza) – Random reward from Tier 5 and Tier 6 Secret Portals.
    • Explosive Bloody Demon (Nezuko Evolution) – If you have the standard Explosive Blood (Nezuko), you can now Evolve her. You’ll need 15 Horns and 1 Wisteria Flower. You can get these items by completing Portals and also opening Capsules.
  • Reworked Demon Slayer Units – Fitting part 2 of the Demon Slayer update, the recently added Demon Slayer units have been reworked. They got huge buffs to make them stronger. Huge visual improvement, too!
  • Reworked Interface – The game’s interface has been heavily polished and reworked. It should be more appealing and functional than ever before!

Now, it’s time to dive into the various fixes added as part of this update and its follow-up hotfix patch!

All Known Bugfixes | Demon Slayer Update 2 Hotfix

Fixed and reworked UI

Before we detail all the fixes, it’s worth noting that these fixes are only guaranteed to work on new servers. Older servers will need to be reset for the fixes to apply properly, but the update doesn’t enforce a reset. Furthermore, it’s recommended to play on VIP and private servers to ensure you get all the fixes.

Anyway, let’s dive into the bug fixes you can look forward to in Anime Last Stand’s Demon Slayer Update 2:

  • Your units will no longer appear as just Denji in your inventory.
  • Clicking on traits no longer makes the visual gradients speed up.
  • Corrected a bug that made units’ stats display wrong numbers in the interface.
  • Fixed a bug that caused unlocked Secret Portals to not appear in players’ inventories.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent you from placing units.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the reroll icons from appearing for Daily Quests.
  • Fixed a progression-blocking bug that prevented Act 6 from unlocking.
  • Fixed all of Noble Captain (Byakuya Kuchiki)’s attacks. He should now attack enemies properly.

Bugfixes Continued

Demon Moon Guy, one of the new units
  • Fixed issues that prevented Evolution from working properly. Primarily affects Sunwoo (Sung Jin Woo), who was notoriously glitched, but also fixes many other units.
  • Fixed the interface for console players as part of the interface rework.
  • Fixed the pathfinding for the Water Park stage. This means units should no longer get stuck or go off track anymore.
  • Idol (Ai Hoshino) now actually buffs her allies instead of debuffing them.
  • Spirit Shards should now display their amount properly. They no longer appear as infinite or NaN.
  • Sunwoo’s de-evolution item should work properly now when clicked on the inventory.
  • The trait duplication glitch has been removed.

With all that said, you now know everything there is to know about the Demon Slayer Update 2 for Anime Last Stand. Overall, a much better update than Update 5 was, which we covered a while back as well.
