This new raid introduces fresh mechanics that weren’t present in previous raids, adding a layer of complexity and challenge. In this guide, I’ll break down everything you need to know about the Armored Titan Raid—how it works, tips to succeed, and strategies to dominate the raid!
Complete Armored Titan Raid Guide (Update 2.5)
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of the Armored Titan Raid itself, let’s talk builds. While you don’t have to follow these suggestions, I’ve found them incredibly useful:
- Gear Up:
Max out your gear—whether it’s Thunderspears, ODM, or Shifter builds. Try to get S-tier gear for the extra 5% bonus in raids. This can make a significant difference. - Level Recommendations:
Aim for Level 100–125+ to ensure you have enough skill points to optimize your skill tree. - Skill Tree Focus:
- For buffers, invest heavily in the left side of the tree, focusing on skills like Advanced Black Flare and Order Rage to boost your team’s damage.
- For damage dealers, decide between crit-focused or pure damage builds. Left-side builds work great for ODM, while the right side shines for Thunderspears.
- For defensive players, prioritize damage reduction over health for better survivability.
- Family and Perks:
Choose an epic+ family with Shifter Regen, as it helps recover from the Armored Titan’s high-damage attacks.- Offense Slot: Kango for ODM or Thunderspears; Art of War for Shifters.
- Defense Slot: Immortal or Adaptation, depending on your survivability.
- Body Slot: Founder’s Blessing (Shifters) or Perfect Soul (ODM/Thunder Spears).
- Support Slot: Tsuen for Thunder Spears or Soul Feint for better healing after kills.
- Artifacts:
- Crown for a 7.5% luck boost to increase rare loot drops.
- Scarf for hook speed and dash cooldown improvements (great for ODM builds).
- Cloak for Shifters, adding an extra shift and increasing aggro range.
About the Armored Titan Raid
The raid features three difficulty levels: Hard, Severe, and Aberrant. Higher difficulties reward more gold, XP, and better loot. Adding modifiers increases luck, so consider enabling Nightmare, Injury Prone, Fog, or others if you have a strong team.
Phases Overview:
- Phase 1:
- Defend the rescue boats while weakening the Armored Titan by attacking its weak points. Ensure at least one player watches the boats at all times, as losing them results in failure.
- Once the Titan’s HP drops below 50%, Phase 2 begins.
- Phase 2:
- Focus all attacks on the Armored Titan to finish it off. Shifters excel here, but Thunder Spears and Blades can also do the job if your build is solid.
Armored Titan’s Moveset
- Unstoppable Charge: The Titan sprints, dealing massive damage. Avoid its path or block (if you’re a Shifter).
- Earthbreaker: A fast, devastating punch. Dodge as soon as you see the Titan wind up.
- Courage: The Titan hardens its body. Keep attacking; there’s no way to prevent this.
- Other attacks include punches, kicks, stomps, and a roar—all straightforward if you’ve faced the Attack Titan Raid before.
Wrapping Up
The Armored Titan Raid is challenging but manageable with the right strategies and teamwork. Personally, I find it easier than the Attack Titan Raid, though the latter remains my favorite. If you’re deciding which raid to tackle first, I’d recommend grinding for the Attack Titan before moving on to the Armored Titan.
