There’s plenty of ways to take down an intellectual like Fazil in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Like many other figures who are on the verge of collapsing mentally, their last ditch effort will consist of running away from their problems and hope that they won’t be found any time soon.

Access The Basement In The Western Outer Courtyard
Getting to the basement will be the last few objectives for The Great Symposium quest. You get more info about Fazil’s basement by eavesdropping around the courtyard.
After that, you can go climb the southern wall of the courtyard to find the gardener who holds the key to the basement.
Use your eagle Enkidu to spot the gardener on the roof, if you’re having a tough time finding him.
Follow the marker and you’ll shortly end up on the roof, which is a restricted area. You’ll find the gardener here scrubbing the floors along with a few guards.
Use your curved sword to convince them that you mean no harm, before taking the gardener’s keys with you.
Return to ground level and go through the southwestern wall coming from the same courtyard. Get to the other side and make a right turn.
Go through the garden and you’ll find the hatch leading to the basement once you go past at least one stone archway.
Use the key to unlock the hatch and proceed to the basement. Another entrance you can use to get inside of the basement is by the bookcase behind the gatekeeper.
