There are a lot of memorable and interesting characters in Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s one of its strengths that even the smallest NPCs story-wise can be quoted and remembered by many. For your companions and some NPCs in the game, you can even go further by having romantic relationships with them. Not all of them though are interested but there’s a handful you can pursue in the game.
In this guide, we’ll show you all of the bachelors you can meet in the game that you can romance. Most of them are potential companions and there are a couple that you might not know of.
All Bachelors List
In Baldur’s Gate 3, there are some characters in the game, including almost all of your companions, that you can even have romantic relationships with.
Clips of them flooded almost all platforms when it was released and continued to do so for months. Now, here are all the bachelors in the game for your character.

Astarion
- Race – High Elf
- Starting Class – Rogue
One of the first male companions you might meet when exploring the area after the Tutorial. Astarion is a character that a lot of people don’t like.
For those who give him a chance though, he kinda grows on you. Also, his voice actor is arguably one of the best ones in the game!
If you go with the romantic route with him, you’re in for some of the sauciest dialogues and a backstory that almost makes you wish you’d bring him out more in the party. I’m sorry Astarion, but I can just hit doors hard to unlock them.
Gale
- Race – Human
- Starting Class – Wizard
Another one of the early companions that you meet in the game Gale is interesting. He’s a wizard and not one of those lanky ones that are stuck reading books.
Well, he’s still lanky, that 1D6 Hit Die for HP can only do so much after all. At least later on in the game, you’ll learn that he at least has a very balanced diet for a wizard.
He’s known to the community as one of the horniest characters in the game and after learning his back story, I have to agree.
Still, he carries his charm with his words as a magic man should and I can’t blame you if you want to romance him. Even if you don’t plan to, he knows how to catch you off guard showing some magic tricks.
Wyll
- Race – Human
- Starting Class – Warlock
Wyll is one of the last characters that you can recruit in Act 1 of the game. He had a very different backstory and personality in the Early Access version of the game. When the game was released, almost everything about him changed.
He’s a man of action and a good person at heart with a pretty interesting backstory. He’s a warlock and if you know how they, work you already know he’s got something to hide.
If you’re willing to go along the ride, you’ll experience a great story with him. One filled with good ideals and conflict.
Halsin
- Race – Wood Elf
- Starting Class – Druid
Halsin is the first companion and person on this list that you get to meet in Act 1 but can only get in later Acts.
Moreover, he’s the head of the Emerald Druid Grove and at first looks and sounds like your typical druid. He is also well known for that scene where he turns into a bear, I know you know that scene.
Speaking of the Emerald Grove, make sure to go check out our guide on Exposing Kagha if you haven’t already!
If you get past that rugged exterior and try to have a romantic relationship with him, you’ll get to know more about him.
His backstory is that of pain and regret and you can help him heal and fix things. Certainly not a backstory you’d typically think for a Druid and that gives him bonus points.
Sorn Orlith
- Race – Drow
- Profession – Sex Worker
This character isn’t a companion in the game but can be yours for a night at the right price. Sorn Orlith is one of the two Drow twins who work in Sharess’ Caress. As you can tell, it’s not a long-term relationship with this one.
You can pay him 500 gold to keep you company for the night or you can pay 1000 gold to bring her twin sister as well.
So, if you have the cash and just want to see what happens, or if this kind of thing is your fancy, then you can go for it. Don’t worry, we don’t judge here. Especially with the next character.
The Emperor
- Race – Illithid
- Profession – Self-Proclaimed Emperor
Yes, you can have sex with a Mind Flayer in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Emperor is one of the characters you’ll meet later in the game and to no one’s surprise you can also romance him. I know this is a list of Bachelors for the game but technically Illithids don’t have genders.
Still, if you want to get freaky with Mr. Tentacles here, you’ll need to get to Act 3 with a good relationship with him.
Afterward, you can watch this weird romance blossom. I’d be lying if I said this is surprising, this isn’t even the weirdest thing to happen in the Forgotten Realms multi-verse.
Those are all the bachelors that you can romance in Baldur’s Gate 3. Now. go out there and try to swoon the person of your choice!
