Players can explore the Forgotten Realms to their satisfaction in this game. In this guide, we will be talking about the best bow, which is also the best-ranged weapon that you can get in the game. This weapon is the legendary Gontr Mael which deals immense damage and has special abilities.
Best Bow & Ranged Weapon
This guide is divided into three parts. The first focuses on the location of the weapon and the second on how to obtain it. The final section will focus on the weapon’s statistics and abilities. Let’s get right into it!
Gontr Mael Location
You can only obtain the Gontr Mael in Act 3 of the main storyline of the game. Once you have reached the appropriate Act, head to the Steel Watch Foundry as indicated in the image below. There will be enemies that you will have to fight inside the foundry, so make sure that you have your appropriate party lined up for this purpose.
How to Get Gontr Mael
Head through the large steel doors and inside the Foundry. Instead of walking down the Rail Tracks in the middle, go through the left section of the building. As you walk in a straight line there will be another set of steel doors that can be opened to proceed into another room.
Inside this room, you should be able to see a staircase that leads to the bottom floor of this building. Go down the stairs and interact with the door. This should transport you to the Lab Level of the Steel Watch Foundry. There will be even more enemies on this level, such as Elementals, so make sure that your party members are in fighting condition.
The layout of the Lab Level might be confusing for some players due to the number of machines that are in this area. Hence to make things easier, follow the map below to the location that we have highlighted. At this location, you should be facing a large steel door that leads to the Control Center Antechamber. Interact with this door to proceed into the Control Center of the lab.
Walk through the corridor in the Control Center, and you will emerge into a large room. Be prepared before you do this. The reason why is because you’ll come across multiple enemies in the area. There are incredibly powerful foes that can take you down with ease if you are not careful. Among these will be Hellfire Watchers and the boss with the Steel Watcher Titan. After defeating the Steel Watcher Titan loot its corpse to obtain the Gontr Mael.
Gontr Mael Stats
Being the strongest ranged weapon in the game, the Gantr Moel certainly packs a punch. The weapon can deal anywhere from 7-14 damage and can deal Piercing damage as well. This means that it is possible for it to hit multiple enemies in one shot. Additionally, it has a buff called Promised Victory. This allows it to inflict a Guiding Bolt on the target on a successful hit.
