Fast Travel is starting to get more and more common in video games these days. We don’t want to waste time walking around places, especially if we’ve already been there. In Baldur’s Gate 3, sometimes the game needs you to backtrack, and the fast travel system is there to help you save time. It can be a bit confusing for some people though.

In this guide, we’ll show you how fast traveling works as well as some tips to make fast traveling even better in the game. Now, let’s see what’s so great about fast traveling in the game.

Fast Travel Complete Guide

When you first get to the starting area in the game and run around the place you might stumble into these fast travel points. They’re called Ancient Rune Circles and they’re usually circular symbols on walls or surfaces that you can interact with.

Interacting with them will bring you to the Fast Travel Screen shown below.

In the center of the screen is the map and all the fast travel points you know. To the right is where you actually click the names of the fast travel points to go there. This is an easy way to get around places in the game that you’ve already explored.

Most players assume that you’ll need to interact with these fast travel points in the map to actually use them. That’s not the case, you can actually just pull up your map by pressing the M Key and fast travel from there! That should save you a lot of time!

That’s how fast traveling works in Baldur’s Gate 3. Now that you know how that works how about checking out our guide on how trading and bartering works in Baldur’s Gate 3 if you haven’t already!
