How to Get Duellist’s Prerogative Legendary

Most Legendary items in Baldur’s Gate 3 is hidden behind some tough fight or quest and this one is no different. This quest will take us around Baldur’s Gate, and at the end fight one of the more iconic enemies in DnD. No, it’s not a Dragon, sadly.

Start The Save Vanra Quest

To start off, you’ll want to go to Baldur’s Gate and talk to Lora in the Basilisk Gate Barracks. She’ll start the quest called “Save Vanra.” This quest is the one we’ll need to do till completion and at the very end, we’ll get the Duelist’s Prerogative.

Baldur's Gate 3 Talking To Lora

You’ll want to talk to her and the next area step is to go to the Blushing Mermaid. We won’t be going there first since we’ll need to make a detour.

Brew A Hag’s Bane Potion

The actual next step we’ll take is to go to the Old Barlow’s Place just southeast of the Beehive General Goods. We’ll need to make a Hag’s Bane Potion, to learn the recipe, you’ll want to help Mayrina in the same building. Afterwards, she’ll open a wall safe and give you the recipe and the ingredient to make one.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to do all of that you can just go to the southwestern part of the building. There you can find the wall safe, you can then lockpick it and get the ingredients. You’ll need a Dried Fey Flower and any kind of essence. Once you make the potion, keep it close as we’ll need it!

Investigate The Blushing Mermaid

Now for the actual next step of the quest and that’s to go to the Blushing Mermaid. Go to the northwest of the Beehive General Goods and there, you’ll find the big building of the Blushing Mermaid. We’re looking for the leader of the place.

That leader is Captain Grizly, talk to her and continue the quest. You’ll see that she’s not what you think she is. After talking to her a bunch of the NPCs around the building will start attacking you. Once you’re done with that go to the cellar.

Use The Hag’s Bane And Defeat The Hag

Down the cellar are another bunch of NPCs that you’ll want to defeat. What’s important to find though is the hag, when you find them, go sneak. What we’ll want to do is throw the Hag’s Bane on her, this will start a cutscene.

After the cutscene has ended and the child runs away while you guys’ fight, finish the fight and defeat the Hag.

NOTE: Make sure that Vanra stays alive.

Go Back To Lora And Get The Legendary Duellist’s Prerogative

Once the Hag has been defeated, go back to Lora by going to her house northeast of the Beehive General Goods. Sometimes, players can get there before Vanra gets there so make sure to wait for the poor little kid.
