Baldur’s Gate 3: How To Get The Druid Halsin To Join Your Party

Hopefully this companion is BEAR-able!

Baldur's Gate 3 Talking To Halsin

When going through the first few parts of Baldur’s Gate 3 there are a lot of companions the game throws at you. A flamboyant elf, a brooding half-elf and a Githytanki that really hates everyone. Let’s also not forget Gale, which is one of the nicer companions, as long as you have magical items that is. Even though you’ll meet most companions at the start, there are some companions you can actually recruit later on, like Druid Halsin.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to get Druid Halsin to join your party. It’s going to be quite an adventure to get this character though and we’ll try to not spoil too much!

How To Get The Druid Halsin To Join Your Party

In order to recruit Druid Halsin, you’ll need to join the druid faction and be with them against another faction comprising of goblins. Remember that if you do want to recruit Halsin you can’t recruit another character called Minthara.

Druid Halsin is the leader of the Druids in the Emerald Grove, a faction that you’ll meet fairly early on in the game. That’s most of the spoilers we’ll say to keep things interesting.

You’ll need to find and free Halsin from the clutches of the goblins and follow the quests helping his grove. Afterwards, you’ll want to continue through the story until you reach the Shadow-Cursed Lands and find yourself in the Last Light Inn.

Inside that inn on the first floor, is an NPC on the bed called Art Cullagh and you’ll have to do the quest involving him. Once you make him wake up, you can then talk to Halsin which will be part of the quest and ask him to join your party.

As you can tell recruiting him is far off in the story in Act 2 so that’s why you don’t really see him as an Origin character. He’s just an extra character that you can let in your party. If you’re lacking a healer, he can be a great one!

That’s how you invite Druid Halsin to your party in Baldur’s Gate 3. Now, go out there and try it out yourself! Speaking of companions go check out our guide on how to free Shadowheart if you haven’t already!
