How to Travel to House of Hope

Location

To travel to the House of Hope, you need to first find Helsik the Diabolist as part of the Escape the Deal quest. She can be found in the Devil’s Fee area of the map.

Helsik Location

Interaction

Once at the location, head inside, and you should find a giant building that is very well-decorated. Upon entering, you should see a counter straight ahead. Behind the counter is the required target for the quest, which is Helsik.

Helsik at counter

Go ahead and interact with Helsik, and soon you will get to the first dialogue choice. For the first choice, select the first option in which you will express your interest in the House of Hope, which is a place found in hell. Soon you will be confronted with the second choice. For this, also select the first option, which will result in your character asking Helsik if she can get you into the House of Hope.

After selecting the above-mentioned option, Helsik will confirm that she can get you into the House of Hope, but this will require a substantial amount of money. In the dialogue, this number is mentioned in brackets as 20000.

Amount required

Next, you will be faced with the final dialogue choices. There are two main choices that you can consider. The first one is to convince Helsik to halve the price provided that you can bring one of Raphael’s artifacts back from hell for her. The second option is intimidating Helsik by forcing her to halve the price, or you will halve her.

Persuading Helsik

In this case, we recommend the second option, which is convincing Helsik to halve the price as you will bring an artifact for her. This will require a Persuasion check, so be prepared for it. If you successfully pass the check, Helsik will request you to bring the Gauntlets of Giant Strength back from the House of Hope.

Gauntlet request

After this interaction, Helsik will provide you with the components necessary to open the portal. This will include a Grimoire, a Pouch containing ritual items, and a Key. The key unlocks the room on the second floor, where there is the ritual Blood Circle. Lastly, she will hand you a note that contains the instructions for performing the ritual for opening the portal.

How to Open Portal

After talking to Helsik, take the stairs on the right to the second floor of the house. Here you can find a door that can be unlocked using the key that Helsik gave to you. Once inside, you will notice multiple chests and a giant blood circle on the floor. Opening these chests will require you to lockpick them, which in turn will require Dexterity checks.

Ritual room

Inside this room, open your inventory and open the pouch that Helsik gave to you. This will contain a Skull, Incense, Diamond, Coin of Mammon, and Infernal Marble. These are the items required for use in the ritual. After this, read the note that Helsik provides to you detailing the instructions. These indicate the order in which the items must be placed in the Blood Circle.

Pouch items

The note will instruct players to place the Skull on the star point that is closest to the altar. The Coin of Mammon must be placed at the nearest point on the right. Continuing clockwise, the Diamond must be placed after skipping on point towards the right. The Incense should be placed on the point next to the Diamond. Lastly, the Infernal Marble must be placed in the center of the circle. The image below indicates the correct orientation of all the items.

Correct item orientation

The items can be selected from the inventory and thrown to place them at their correct locations. Once all the items are placed correctly, the circle will light up, and you can enter Hell. There will be a prompt warning to players of how dangerous it will be, so make sure that you have the appropriate equipment and weapons to survive.
