Oh My Dog – Heroes Assemble is finally here, allowing players to use a variety of Dogs to beat Dungeons. Each Dog is unique, varying in their abilities and rarities. Players can make teams of dogs according to playstyle to battle the challenges they face in the dungeon. The Dog designs are incredibly well-done too, giving a strong urge to collect them all!
To get you started, we have prepared a Beginners Guide for Oh My Dog. With this guide, you will be able to hit the ground running by understanding how team building works. We will also show you some interesting tricks that you can use. Finally, there are some codes that you can use to immediately get some free items. Let’s dive in and rise up from being the Underdog!
Beginners Guide & Codes
Oh My Dog is relatively simple to understand at face value. You basically create a team of Dogs, alongside your main character, to battle enemies in Dungeons. However, there are some mechanics and tricks that can help you master the game.
Team building especially is very crucial, to make sure that you are making the most out of your teams. So, we will be discussing all of these in this guide so you can start dominating games! Stick to the end, and we will provide you with some codes as well!
Team Building
There are 5 Dogs that you can have in your team at a time, alongside your main Character. Dogs vary in their Rarities and roles, providing you with different combinations that you can use. You want to use a combination that gives you the best output possible.
You can access your Lineup by first clicking the Dog icon at the bottom.
After that, click on the Lineup button at the top right of the screen.
A great way to visualize the team is by considering the two rightmost Dogs as Frontliners. The rest of the Dogs are your Backliners. Your Frontliners are the aggressive ones, so take that into consideration when choosing them.
Your frontmost Dog will need to be a Tank. This is very important as your Tank will be soaking up the brunt of the damage, while even doing debuffs and similar effects. In this way, your other Dogs can be safeguarded and fulfill their Roles in a better way.
You want the other Frontliner Dog to be someone who will deal a lot of damage. So, it is crucial that you also take a Warrior, as this will be your main DPS dealer. You may be tempted to get another Tank, but this will negatively affect your damage output.
Next, you want some sort of Support Hero in your backline. These Dogs will be giving your Dogs healing and buffs while inflicting debuffs on the enemies. Make sure they are towards the left so that they are away from any damage.
The other two Backline Roles are up to you to decide. You can choose an Assassin, Mage and Ranger or a combination of them according to your needs, or playstyle. For example, if the other team has a strong Support, you could take an Assassin to inflict damage to their Backline.
Assassins tend to target the backline Dog with the lowest HP, so this can work out. Otherwise, you can choose a Ranger to have some additional DPS from afar. In this way, you can assemble a strong team that can clear any Dungeon, and challenge PvP players.
Rarities Breakdown (How To Get Mythic Dog Easily)
The Dogs in the game are divided into three basic Rarities: Epic, Legendary and Mythic. The Epic Dogs are the weakest ones and will have a Purple background. After that, the Legendaries will have the Orange background while the Mythical ones will have the Red Background.
You will want to get the Mythic Dogs, as there is a huge difference in quality between them and the Legendary Dogs. The great thing is that you can get these Mythic Dogs quite easily through the free-to-play route.
If you go to the Dog Shop, you will see that you can open packs in exchange for Dog Express Tickets.
After you have opened 10 of these packs (whether through the 1 at a time, or 10 at once method), you get a guaranteed Mythical Dog.
You can easily get 10 Dog Express Tickets at a time by going into the Dungeon Section. Here, click on the Glory Towers Dungeon and you can see the reward that you get at the end of the Dungeon.
It includes x300 Bones and x10 Dog Express Tickets. So, essentially, you can get a free Mythic Dog by just beating the Glory Towers Dungeon once.
You can also go the Premium Currency route if you want by purchasing Dognotes with actual money. You can also get Dognotes for free by doing certain Events. After that, you can go into the Black Market section and get yourself a Chest or other items.
Auto Attacker
In addition to your main Dogs fighting Dungeons, you can actually even use your main Character to fight. The default way to do this is by clicking on the screen, and the main character will fire Doges as fast as you are clicking.
However, there is a way in which you can get this Attack to be done automatically. Start by clicking on your main character in the main battle.
This will open up the Dish Menu. Here, you will see different food and drinks items that you can feed the Dog.
Each item has its own bonuses that it provides, including a time where your character will auto attack. The time is different for each item that you consume.
Once you feed the Food item to your character, a timer will appear on the top. After that, your character will automatically start spamming attacks faster than you can click.
So, make sure you use up any Food items that you obtain as you play the game for this feature and additional boosts. The Auto Attacker will also give your fingers some much needed rest!
Boss Invasion Bypass (Exploit)
The Boss Invasion Dungeon is not immediately accessible and requires you to be at least Level 200 to access. It provides some great rewards too, which is a shame as you need to grind your Level to reach it. However, there is a way in which you can take advantage of a glitch to get to it directly!
Start by clicking on the Dog icon at the bottom of the main fight screen.
This will show your main character and all the Dogs that you have. Over here, click on your main character.
After that, click on the Title button on the right side of the Train Menu.
In the Title Menu, you will see a variety of Titles that you can unlock. Scroll to the bottom and click on the Beast Tamer Title. After that, an option will appear to Head to the dungeon right below your character. Click on the Head to button.
Here, you will see two options to get the Title. Click on the Boss Invasion option at the top of the screen. Then, press the Challenge button to start the Dungeon. Even if you are Level 1, you can play the Boss Invasion this way and get some great rewards!
Oh My Dog Gift Codes
Last, but not least, we have some Codes that you can use to get some help in getting started. We have 6 Codes that we will provide to you.
You can redeem these Codes to get a variety of items, varying from Food Items, Chests and Dog Express Tickets. Start by going into the fight screen and clicking on the icon in the top left corner of the screen.
This will open the Personal Information Screen. Here, you can select the Gift Code option at the bottom of the screen. This will open a Text Box where you can input the Codes.
Keep in mind that the Codes are case sensitive, so pay special interest to the characters. Here are the 6 Codes that you can use:
- dog1000 – x250 Dognotes and x3 Pudding
- Dog2023 – x5 Green Chests and x100 Iron
- ohmydog – x1 Dog Express Ticket and x2 Random Orange Shards
- DOGGY – x100 Dognotes and x1 Cookie Bag
- TOPDOG – x200 Dognotes and x50 Bones
- Thanks777 – Dognotes and Cookie Bag.
