Victoria 3 has released, a grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive and players still can’t believe it happened. The Victoria fans have been making memes of this game for years and now it’s actually here and you can actually play it now. The game lets you control a nation through the Victorian Era as you try to control all of the aspects of that nation from Politics, Military, Diplomacy and so on. You can play as Prussia as you unite the German states, play as Spain and stop your empire from declining, or play as Japan and kick out the Shogunate. Here is a list of the best countries to play in Victoria 3.
Victoria 3: Best Countries To Play
Playing different nations in Victoria 3 can have different playstyles. If you start off a colony then you’ll have to focus more on your industry, technology and trying to get independence rather than straight to fighting. If you pick as a minor nation, you’ll first need to build your nation up, industrialize and remove the more traditional and slower to learn ways of the country. There are many ways to play Victoria 3, and here are some nations to are interesting to play as.
Prussia
Prussia is one of the more interesting countries to play in Victoria 3. You have a goal at the start and that’s to unite the German states into one big country. What shall we call that country? I don’t know, maybe Germany or something.
You’ll start with an already growing economy, and you get to experience multiple events as you let German states join you. You also get to experience the vast political web of Europe, make friends, enemies and so on. Probably not the best nation to start playing if you don’t know how to play yet, but a fun one for sure.
United States of America
Probably the country with the most flavor and fluff in the game right now. America has a lot of things to do in the game, from taking on the native Americans, fighting Mexico and manifesting your destiny, and if you want you can even start colonizing. The land of opportunity surprisingly has a lot of opportunities to experience the many mechanics the game has to offer.
Japan
My personal best pick for the game is Japan, or the Japanese shogunate as it starts of. I personally think Japan is the best starting nation to play if you don’t know the game. That’s because Japan is a slow country to progress through. You’ll need to slowly turn your feudal country into an industrial power house. Not only that but also try to change your government by lowering the power of the Shogunate.
Japan has it all, political change, industrialization, diplomacy, and colonization. If you want to learn the game, play as Japan and try to open up the country and be more liberal.
Congratulations you now know the best countries to play as in Victoria 3. Of course this list is subjective and you can really play any country you want. These are the ones that offer different playstyles for you to experience the game.
