There are a lot of different ways you can play Elder Scrolls Online. It is a MMORPG that contains roughly the same freedom that you would get when playing Oblivion or Skyrim.
Everything about your character is customizable to help you engage yourself more with the world of Elder Scrolls Online. In this guide, we will be focusing on tanks and their Monster Sets. Monster Sets are considered to be tough-as-nails gear and worth it (some, at least).

Elder Scrolls Online – Scribes of Fate – Best Tank Monster Sets
There are a lot of Monster Sets that you can find and equip in Elder Scrolls Online, but not all of them are going to be good.
Some players recommend that you stay away from certain Monster Sets because of how bad they are.
Here are a few that people would recommend you get (in no particular order):
#1 Encratis’ Behemoth
Encratis’ Behemoth is a two-piece gear set that focuses on the Flame element.
When you deal Flame damage to an enemy, you will get the Behemoth’s Aura that goes up to 12 meters and lasts up to 12 seconds.
It helps you and up to 11 other members that are affected by the aura to reduce Flame damage. If enemies are within the aura, they get a 5% increase in Flame damage.
#2 Archdruid Devyric
Another two-piece gear set, the Archdruid Devyric set allows the player to deal 650 Shock damage after dealing damage with a heavy attack.
This Shock damage can affect up to 6 enemies that are within the 7×5 meter line on your target. This also applies to Major Vulnerability to those who are affected for 7 seconds, which greatly increases the damage they will take.
#3 Nazaray
This two-piece gear set focuses on the player’s Ultimate.
If the player uses their Ultimate, the closest of 6 enemies within 12 meters will have all Major and Minor Debuffs applied to them. This effect will only last 1 second per 20 Ultimate spent.
Perfect for doing major damage to bosses.
#4 Tremorscale
When using this two-piece gear set, your taunt can cause a duneripper to appear from the ground underneath the taunted enemy.
The duneripper will deal 0 Physical damage, but all enemies within 4 meters of the duneripper will have their armor reduced to 0 for 15 seconds.
#5 Spaulder of Ruin
This is the only Monster Set that contains only one gear piece.
When you are crouching with the Spaulder of Ruin equipped, this activates a 12-meter Aura of Pride. If you were to stand back up, the Aura of Pride will deactivate. With the aura up, up to 6 of your allies will gain 260 Weapon and Spell damage.
This, however, reduces your Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery by 70 for every ally that is within range of your Aura of Pride.
