As an ARPG, it should not really be surprising to learn that there will be a lot of grinding involved in No Rest for the Wicked, which has just recently been released on early access. In this guide, we will be giving you a few tips on how to farm up your levels and find various types of loot and materials to help you progress through the game!

Best Way to Farm EXP, Loot, & Materials

One of the cheesiest methods of farming early on is not exactly the most compelling thing you can do gameplay-wise, but it does work in the current version of No Rest for the Wicked.

Basically, if you ever feel like you are struggling a bit and want a relatively stress-free way of grinding, go back to the main menu. It may sound like an unusual thing to do, but it will make sense in a few seconds.

What you need to do now is start a new realm while using your current character. From here, just play through the early stages of the game and get all of the resources and EXP that you want before going back to your main realm.

You can just do this over and over again if you really want to, though you might just burn yourself out if you keep grinding like this over a long period of time.

There are other cheesy tactics that you can take advantage of with this realm creation method, such as abusing it to get repairs from Fillmore the blacksmith at the start of the game.

It should be emphasized, however, that the game is in early access and is essentially a beta test. This means that the developers can easily prevent these methods in the future if they decide that it is too exploitative.

Daily and Weekly Bounty Hunting

If you want a less cheesy way of farming, you should consider trying out the bounty hunting system in the game. This can get you all sorts of rewards, including money and equipment.

To get started with this activity, you have to find Captain Randolph in the city of Sacrament. He can be found in the eastern part of the city, around southeast of Fillmore the blacksmith.

Ideally, you should accept a whole bunch of challenges and at least one daily and one weekly bounty before you start running off into the world. This will let you somewhat passively complete stuff as you focus on other tasks in the game.

You can also simply focus on completing them actively, as these bounties and challenges will likely have you killing all sorts of enemies or gathering resources anyway.

And those are all of the tips we can give you when it comes to farming both experience and gear in the game. While you’re here, if you are still very early in the game, check out our guide on how to unlock fast travel in No Rest for the Wicked too!
