Starter Guide & A Lot Of Tips – Big Ambitions
Business simulators are always the most effective methods of guaranteeing success, especially if you like the idea of investing little to nothing and getting double in return.
It’s not always like that but with this guide, you’ll definitely come close to robbing someone blind, including your employees.
Post Tutorial
Here’s a list of things you’ll need to focus on once you clear the tutorial and understand the ins and outs of managing a business, if you don’t get everything then don’t worry, most of your worries will be covered here as well:
- Pay your taxes as soon as you start making more money than the average salaryman. The IRS will eventually want to take a piece of that pie you’re having. You’ll be given a tax bill that will scale continuously every 60 days that need to be sorted under 20 days. Just like in real life, they’ll take what you have until you can pay for it again, with interest!
- Stay happy – a tall order when you’re just starting out but you need to be in a good mood in order to function properly. This applies greatly in the game as well, the options you have include, playing video games, watching TV, going to the casino (extremely dangerous), staying in the black, or fulfilling your goals. These are like the aspirations you get when playing The Sims.
- Know how delivery works as you’ll be in touch with supplies and various appliance stores as you go about your business. Speak to them to set up deliveries to any of your buildings and their number will appear on your phone for future use. When the time comes, these items will be delivered to the doorstep of your selected business, push them all quickly by using the trolley provided.
- Buy a building – you can’t run your business out on the street, once you’re successful enough to charge your tenants an exorbitant rent deposit you can click on the building you want to buy by sending a building purchase offer. This will show you the estimated value before you push through.
- Use Market Insider – they will have a real estate tab where you can see every building that’s for sale. They have better prices which means you can negotiate with an even lower offer. Remember to be as shrewd as humanly possible, you’re running a business, not a charity!
- Increase your income from rent – do this by selecting your building in Bizman and by clicking on ‘Real Estate Settings’. Find a section called ‘Rent Management’ to see your current rent price and decide whether to charge extra or less.
- You can do hostile takeovers, just like in real life! Click on the business that has wronged you in Bizman and politely send the establishment a ‘Business Overtake Offer’. Fellow business moguls like the idea of a big payout so some of these people do have a chance of handing everything over to you. If they say yes to your offer then everything inside of that building is yours to manage.
- Turn off Uncle Fred – he’s been a big help to you but you’re a grown man who wishes to see the highs and lows of running a legal empire. Do this by playing a Custom Game instead of the normal story mode.
Management and others
Here’s a hands-on list of the businesses you can buy and what kind of management options you’ll have for them:
Retail
- Coffee Shop
- Fast Food
- Liquor
- Supermarket
- Jewelry Store
- Florist
- Gift Shop
- Clothing Store
Offices
- Law Firm
- Web Development Agency
Miscellaneous
- Headquarters
- Warehouse
- To recruit workers like CSR or Hygiene Technicians contact Anderson Recruitment Corp. If you haven’t gotten in touch with them yet, then go to 16 5th Avenue.
- Your customers will complain, and it never ends but you have to meet some of their demands to improve your Business Interior Score. Here’s what you can expect from them:
- Employee Uniforms – Can be managed in your Employee Tab
- Music – Purchase speakers from Ika Bohag
- Upgraded Walls and Floors – an Interior Design option can be accessed in the store, make sure your floors and walls are worth $5000 to have them pipe down
- Seating applies only to your fast food and coffee shops, buy what you need from AJ Pederson and Son or from Ika Bohag
- Raise your Customer Service Score by training your employees. You can see your current score on the Insight Page in Bizman.
- Change your sale prices – Bizman is your friend so go to Inventory & Pricing to change the individual prices for each item. Don’t go overboard as you will lose customers and eventually ratings if you set your prices ridiculously high.
- If your employees are constantly resigning then that means something in your business needs to be addressed. They’ll have different requests along 5-day work weeks, sofas, coffee machines, or even a proper workstation. Each of these demands has a certain importance, meet those and you’ll be able to keep them satisfied.
Use these tips to survive the concrete jungle that is New York City, it’s almost like you’re playing a grand strategy game but more horrific since it’s a one-to-one scale of what you’re doing in real life.
Now wipe your tears away with the money that you’ve made, you’ve got work to do!
