Black Clover M: Complete Langris Guide & Build | Skills, Gear & Talents

Making his debut on October 12, Langris Vaude enters the Black Clover M roster as a first-class Senior Magic Knight. Much like his Anime counterpart, he boasts an impressive set of Magic skills. As an SSR character, Langris’ kit promises a better kit than most, so in this guide, I give you a full rundown of his skills, gear, and talents.

Langris Vaude is an Attacker type character with a Sense Type. This means that he’s strong against Technique characters and weak against Power characters.

• Space Magic Bullets (Skill 1)
  • Shoots magic bullets, dealing damage to a single enemy.
  • 50% chance to grant a [SP +1] buff.

  • In the name of House Vaude, focuses on the battle and strengthens self.
  • Sacrifices 2 of a designated ally’s SPs to grant self a [SP +2] buff.
  • 45% chance to inflict 20% [Reduced Healing Received] to the designated ally.
  • Grants self an [Increased SPD Lv. 3] buff for 2 turn(s).
    • Lv. 2: Chance to inflict [Reduced Healing Received] -8%
    • Lv. 3: Chance to inflict [Reduced Healing Received] -8%

  • Throws a magical sphere of spatial magic that erases everything it touches, dealing damage to all enemies.

  • Grants all allies a 20% [Increased Favored DMG Dealt] buff for 2 turn(s).
  • Inflicts a [Reduced HP Recovery Lv. 3] debuff on an enemy for 2 turn(s).
  • Grants [Debuff Immunity] to self for 2 turn(s).

Combination Attack

• Performs a combined attack with your partner, dealing damage to an enemy.
• Attacks after removing an enemy’s [Barrier].

  • Lv. 4: Skill ATK +5%, Skill MATK +5%

Passives

• At the start of a turn, grants a [SP +2] buff.
• [Unique] When HP is below 30%, grants a [Immortality] buff for 1 turn(s). (Once per battle)

Best Gear

Building Langris around a full Magic Attack is the ideal way to go. Focus on giving him gear that will boost his Magic Attack and speed. At best, give him a high crit rate and crit damage sub stat gear as well to boost his damage output capacity.

The gear kit pictured below is a great example that maximizes Langris’ kit.

It’s worth noting that upgrading defense isn’t a priority for Langris since he has Immortality. 

Talents to Focus On

Pictured below are the talents you need to prioritize for Langris:

These talents provide the following buffs and benefits:

• At the start of the turn, if there are less than 2 Special Points, a [Special Point +1] buff effect is applied.
• 10% [Increased blocking]
• 20% [Defense increase]
• At the beginning of the wave, 4% [Defense increase] and 2% [Critical resistance] buff effect are applied (up to 5 stacks]
• At the beginning of a wave, [2,5% Critical Chance] buff is applied (up to 5 stacks)
• [7% Magic Attack Increase]

Team Setups

In teams, putting Langris with Defense characters will increase his survivability on the field. Doing this puts him in the position to be a selfish DPS where he can deal big numbers on his own.
