How To Find Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw (Skip if you’ve found him already)
Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw is a miniboss found in Chapter 2 of the game, located in the Sandgate Village area at the Village Entrance. Here’s how to find him:
- Starting Point: Begin at the Village Entrance Shrine in Sandgate Village.
- Navigating to the Ravine: From the Shrine, head to the left and drop down into the ravine.
- Path to the Frog Guai: Follow the path that leads down through the ravine. Continue along the trail until you reach a flooded area.
- Miniboss Location: At the end of this path, you’ll find Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw in a large watery pit, waiting as an optional battle encounter.
If you head in the opposite direction of the Village Entrance Shrine, there is a ditch nearby that you can hop down. This path leads under a bridge to a tunnel where you’ll meet a friendly Xu Dog Guai, who will ask for your assistance in defeating the Yaoguai Chief.
All Lang Li Guhh Baw Moveset & Attack Pattern
This is the most important section of the guide, and it’s the key to beating Pika-frog. Here are all of Lang Li Guhh Baw’s attack pattern, when and how he’ll be doing his attacks. Familiarize yourself with the animations, but it’s not necessary that you know the order of the attack, what matters is that you time your dodges better!
- He begins the fight by moving back a bit and doing a Double Tongue Lash attack. Avoid dodging backward, as the tongue lash sometimes extends in a straight line.
- He will also distance himself from you and jump back from time to time.
- Occasionally, he’ll spit long-range electric projectiles.
- Also, he has swipe and body slam attacks.
- Attacking Lang Li Guhh Baw from behind: Attacking him from behind can trigger a quick hop mule kick that deals heavy damage. Stay alert when attacking from this angle.
- When Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw swells its throat with electric energy: It will release dozens of electrified tadpoles. These can either be shot out in a wide frontal arc or scattered around the boss, making them difficult to dodge.
- Consider using the Pillar Stance to gain height and stay out of their reach.
- If the boss lets out a giant croak and raises its body: It will summon a lightning storm that rains down around the arena. Watch for signs of incoming strikes and be ready to dodge.
- If Lang Li Guhh Baw jumps a bit, moves back and drags its tongue from the ground towards you: It will most likely do the swallow attack where it’ll take you to its guts; this deals hella lots of damage so try to escape or dodge it when you can. You also receive a debuff afterwards.
