Blair is a Roblox experience heavily inspired by the widely popular indie title Phasmophobia, and just like the game that inspired it, players must search for evidence in order to figure out what type of ghost they are facing. With all of that said, here is a quick guide on how to identify each type of ghost that you can encounter in Blair!
All Ghost Types Guide
There are six different kinds of evidence that you can find that will help you narrow down what ghost type you’re facing in the game. These are the following:
- EMF 5
- Ghost Orb
- Spirit Box
- Freezing Temperature
- Fingerprints
- Ghost Writing
Shade
The shade’s evidence includes EMF 5, Ghost Orb, and Ghost Writing. It is an incredibly shy ghost that will almost never start a hunt, even when summoned at a summoning circle.
It is also not very active, which makes it hard to gather evidence. With that said, if there has been no activity for a prolonged period of time, it is safe to assume that you are facing a shade.
Spirit
The evidence for the spirit includes the Spirit Box, Fingerprints, and Ghost Writing. One easy way to determine whether you are facing one of these is by using the incense burner.
Unlike the other ghosts, spirits get stunned for much longer when affected by an incense burner. They are also very aggressive when you are in the same room.
Poltergeist
Next up is the poltergeist. The evidence for one of them are the following: Ghost Orb, Spirit Box, and Fingerprints.
They are easy to identify as they tend to be very active when there are people around, and they are almost completely inactive when nobody is there.
Even during a hunt, they can do stuff like turn on lights/appliances or knock on random surfaces.
Demon
For the demon, the evidence you need to look out for are Freezing Temperatures, Spirit Box, and Ghost Writing.
It is one of the most aggressive ghost types in the game, and it can start a hunt regardless of the team’s sanity levels.
Moreover, it is weak against crucifixes, however, so make sure you have one just in case you encounter this type.
Banshee
Banshees can be identified with the following evidence: EMF 5, Freezing Temperatures, and Fingerprints. One easy way to identify a banshee is by using the Parabolic Microphone, which can capture its screams.
This ghost targets one person at a time, and she is largely inactive if the player she’s hunting is not in the area. She will ignore other players until her target is dead and she chooses a new one.
Yurei
The evidence that you can find for the Yurei are Ghost Writing, Ghost Orbs, and Freezing Temperatures.
Although it is blind, it has strong hearing capabilities and can easily spot you if you move or use any electronics.
One way to avoid getting killed during a hunt is by staying quiet and standing still, though it can still get you sometimes if you do this.
Yama
The Yama can be identified with the following evidence: EMF 5, Freezing Temperatures, and Ghost Orb. It can be hard to gather evidence due to how much it roams around the house.
It should also be noted that its favorite room can change over the course of a match, which makes it even harder to get the necessary evidence to identify it.
Mare
The evidence that the Mare leaves behind include the following: Ghost Orb, Freezing Temperatures, and Spirit Box.
The only thing to keep in mind against a Mare is that it hates light and is largely inactive in lit areas.
As such, it is only active in the dark and will constantly try to shut off the power in order to haunt players.
Harrow
A Harrow can be identified with Ghost Orbs, Fingerprints, and Ghost Writing. They normally move around at the regular speed of other ghosts but run incredibly fast when it is near its favorite room.
They are less active the further you are from its favorite room, and they can be pretty easy to identify due to their speed when hunting.
Revenant
Revenants are identified by the following kinds of evidence: EMF 5, Ghost Writing, and Fingerprints. Outside of a hunt, they can be incredibly slow.
However, once a hunt starts, they speed up significantly and is possibly the fastest ghost in the game. It is really hard to outrun, making it a particularly deadly type to face.
Lament
The evidence that a Lament leaves behind includes the Ghost Orb, Spirit Box, and EMF 5. The only thing to keep in mind is that it likes to pretend that a hunt is ending by becoming quieter and stopping its other haunting activities.
Wraith
Finally, the Wraith can be identified with the following evidence: Spirit Box, Fingerprints, and Freezing Temperatures.
One easy way to identify whether you’re facing a wraith is that it does not step on salt, and when it does decide to show itself, it tends to hover in the air.
And those are all of the ghost types currently implemented in Blair. Future updates may change how certain ghosts behave, so keep an eye out for any new patches whenever they roll out!
