Blasphemous 2: All Altarpiece Figure Locations | Weight Of Penance Trophy

Blasphemous 2 is a recently released side-scrolling game that allows players to explore the nightmare world of Cvstodia. The game serves as a sequel to the original Blasphemous game.

For the dedicated trophy hunters out there, the game features different trophies for collecting all the collectibles. This guide will focus on how to get the Weight of Penance trophy. This is obtained as a result of finding all the Altrapiece Figures in the game. This guide will highlight the location of all the Altarpieces required for the trophy.

All Altarpiece Locations

This guide will be divided into different sections, with each one focusing on the location of a particular Altarpiece.

The Traitor

This is most likely the first Altarpiece that you will tend to collect. This can be obtained by simply talking to the Sculptor for the first time in the City of the Blessed Name.

Enter the building in which the sculptor is and simply interact with him. Once the conversation finishes, you will get the Altarpiece.

Nacimiento

Nacimiento is the second Altarpiece on this list and is very easy to obtain. It is found in the Ravine of High Stones which is right next to the City of the Blessed Name. Simply head into the ravine and drop down in the first hole that you find.

Walk towards the right, and you should be able to see a Golden Chest on a pedestal. Simply slide below the wall and open the chest to receive the Nacimiento Altarpiece.

Ecstatic Novice

The Ecstatic Novice can be found towards the upper edge of the City of the Blessed Name, as shown in the map image below. This is the same building as the Master Sculptor but on the top floor. For this, take the elevator found at the top of the city.

Once you leave the elevator, go right and enter through the window into the house. The Golden Chest on the floor will contain the Altarpiece.

The Purified One

The Purified Once is located in the Aqueduct of Costales, as highlighted in the map image below. As with the previous ones, there will be a Golden Chest housing the Altarpiece.

The Thurifer

You can find The Thurifier in the Sacred Entombments as shown in the map below. It will be located inside a secret passage that you will have to crawl through in order to open the Golden Chest that is hidden within it.

The Pilgrim

The Pilgrim is an Altarpiece that is located in the Grilles and Ruin location, as highlighted in the map image below. It is right next to the City of the Blessed Name, meaning that you can get it early on.

For this, you have to jump up into a narrow passage that will lead you out onto an edge. There, you can interact with a glowing flame to obtain the Altarpiece.

The Tempest

You can find The Tempest in the Palace of Embroideries, as highlighted in the map image below. To get it you have to interact with the statue to bring the mirror down.

As the mirror is going back up, simply keep jumping on it. As you gain height, you will spot the Golden Chest at the top.

The Pillager

You can find The Pillager in the Labyrinth of Tides, as shown in the image below. For this, you need to interact with the statue found near the location.

Once you do that, a short cutscene will play, showing the door opening that will allow you to get the chest.

From this point, head down and towards the right. Ring the large bell that should be in front of you.

Once the bell is rung, the water bubbles will convert into platforms, allowing you to access the Golden Chest to get the Altarpiece.

The Demented One

Next on the list is The Demented One altarpiece. This can be found towards the lower right corner of The Elevated Temples location. This Altarpiece will also be inside a Golden Chest as the previous ones.

The Alchemist

Continuing with the Altarpieces, the next one you can find is The Alchemist. You can find this in the Palace of Embroideries, as shown in the image below. For this, you will need to head down two sets of stairs and then go to the right.

This will result in you emerging in a room with a flame towards the far right. Interact with the flame, and the exit to the room will close, and you will be forced into a mini-boss fight. Defeat this boss to get the Altarpiece.

The Guide

Moving on with this list, you can find The Guide Altarpiece in the Crown of Towers locations as shown in the map image below.

Near the location, you will have to interact with a statue that will open the door leading to the Golden Chest. Once the door is open, simply parkour up to reach the chest.

The Maiden & The Unwavering One

These are the first two artifacts on the list that can be obtained together. For this, you need to first head to the NPC in the Choir of Thorns, as indicated in the map image below.

To get to the NPC, you will need to parkour across the thorn pit using the mirrors. On the other side, break the door using a smash attack in the ground and keep heading right.

Upon reaching the NPC, interact with him to receive the Maider Altarpiece. Once received, equip the Altarpiece and then kill as many enemies as possible until the Altarpiece breaks.

When it breaks, bring it back to the NPC, and he will repair it. Repeat this process three times, and on the third attempt, you will receive The Unwavering One.

Cierzo

The Cierzo is one of the Altrapieces that is required to unlock the secret ending for the game. Check out the following guide on obtaining the Cierzo Altarpiece.

It involves providing the Procession of Shadows with the three Forgotten Tributes.

The Partisan, Viridiana, The Flagellant, The Scribe & The Bishop

All of these Altarpieces can be purchased from the shop. You need to simply head to the shop that is located in the City of the Blessed Name to obtain these Altarpieces.

Make sure that you have enough Tears of Atonement before attempting to purchase these Altarpieces.

The Choirmaster

You can purchase The Choirmaster from the Traveling Merchant for 3000 Tears of Atonement. The first spawn of this merchant is at the City of the Blessed Name.

If you have already interacted with him in the city, then he will be found with this Altarpiece in the next location.

Jaloque

Similar to the Cierzo, you will need the Jaloque to unlock the secret ending. Check the following guide on how to get the secret ending for information on obtaining the Jaloque.

The Anointed One, The Veteran One & The Punished One

These three altarpieces are specific altarpieces that can be found in the game. These can be purchased from a special NPC that can be found in the location highlighted on the map below.

The NPC will only sell the Altarpieces for the weapon that you did not select when starting the game.

The Altarpiece for the weapon that you selected can be found at the location where the weapon would normally be found.

Tirso, The Thirst & Lebeche

These three altarpieces can be found after you have located all five daughters. Additionally, you will need to complete Battle Challenges 1,3 and 5 to get your hands on these altarpieces.

The NPC that can allow you to complete these challenges can be found at the location highlighted on the map below.

Gregal

In order to locate the Gregal, you will need to find all the 33 Cherubs that are scattered across the game.

Once you do that, head to the top of the tower and complete a parkour challenge to get the Altarpiece. This Altarpiece can be found in the Aqueduct of the Costales as highlighted on the map below.

The Cobija Mayor

You can obtain The Cobija Mayor as a reward for locating and returning all the nine Sisters to the NPC highlighted on the map below.

The first time you interact with this NPC, you will be able to pay 6000 Tears of Atonement to unlock fast travel.

The second time you talk to the NPC, will allow her to reward you with the Altarpiece provided that the sisters have been returned.

The Confessor

The Confessor is an Altarpiece that you can obtain as a reward from the Sculptor or his daughter. You will need to simply hand over to them the Remembrance of the Confessor is order to obtain the Altarpiece.

The Woman Of The Stolen Face

Similar to The Confessor, The Woman Of The Stolen Face can be obtained by giving the sculptor or his daughter the remembrance. In this case, you need to give them the Remembrance of Regula to get the Altarpiece.

Altarpiece Figures from the Sculptor (or his Daughter)

• Trifon – You can get the Trifon by giving its remembrance to the Master Sculptor or his daughter.
• Castula – As with the previous three, you will need to give the Remembrance of Castula to the Sculptor or his daughter to obtain the Altarpiece.
• Proximo – You will need to exchange the Remembrance of Proximo for the altarpiece. This can be exchanged by talking to either the Master Sculptor or his daughter.
• The Selfless Father – To obtain The Selfless Father, you will need to give the Remembrance of Cesario to either the Sculptor or his daughter.
• Crisanta – Lastly, for the Crisana Altarpiece, you will need to give the sculptor or his daughter the Remembrance of Crisanta.
