Blood & Iron is a Roblox game based on the legendary Napoleonic Wars. With real weapons, players can fight their enemies in historical settings with renowned regiments like the Old Guard and 95th Rifles from both France and Britain.
While battling enemies, classes play a very important role in the game. Thus, today we are going to rank the classes from best to worst for you to choose the right ones.
Best Class Tier List
Depending on the benefits each class provides, they are ranked from strongest to weakest. Let’s take a look at which classes are most useful in the game. Keep in mind that this is a subjective list and may not represent everyone’s opinions.
S Tier
Light Infantry
Depending on the country, rankers are armed with a sword or sabre in addition to a light musket, which is a line musket without a bayonet.
There are additional light infantry regiments in the Militia tab for use when playing as the Russian Empire. They are instead armed with either a hand axe or a knife.
The Light Infantry is one of the most broken classes in the game. Because of their strength and easy playstyle, they belong to the S Tier in Blood and Iron.
Line Infantry
They serve as the foundation of a faction’s army in the game. Line infantry is typically accompanied by skirmishers such as light infantry, riflemen, and, on occasion, militia.
Line infantry units are armed with either a sword or a sabre, depending on the faction, and a musket with a bayonet mounted on it.
Since there are many classes to play in Line Infantry, mounted bayonets for ranked and buffs belong to the S Tier.
Officer
As a variation of a regiment, the Officer is a common class found under all sections (infantry, skirmishers, militia, cavalry, and artillery). Officers cannot directly direct the actions of other team members or exert any control over them.
However, the officer applies an accuracy buff to all firearms except other pistols. The officer can use their buff without holding onto anything in particular.
A Tier
Hussar
Hussars are fast and nimble skirmisher cavalry, and depending on the faction, they are either armed with a sword or a sabre.
It has a quick horse that can almost take out an enemy player in one shot, is agile enough to avoid bullets and flee from enemy riders, and can run faster than the default melee. Its horse can also be used with a lance to create a lethal machine that can take out an entire army.
Dragoon
Dragoons are heavy anti-infantry skirmish cavalry armed with guns and swords. They ride the same medium horse as the lancers.
But their resistance is higher than that of hussar horses, and they are also easier to control, allowing them to take more hits and turn more easily. The musketoon has the fastest reload in the game and is great for ambushing players.
Artillery
Artillery troops use field guns. Field guns are capable of firing “canister shells,” which are bags filled with lethal shrapnel that instantly disable any soldier or horse they come into contact with.
Fortifications sustain little damage from these shells, although they are inaccurate over long distances. They are also capable of destroying sapper-built fortifications with a huge iron ball, or “round shot,” which is incredibly accurate and bounces off the ground.
B Tier
Cuirassier
Cuirassiers are equipped with heavy swords and wear armor that provides a 33% damage reduction against all melee attacks. They also utilize a large, heavy horse.
Its armor reduces damage from all melee attacks. It’s equipped with cavalry sabres/swords and a slightly longer-ranged sword than normal. Compared to their lighter counterparts, it has higher horse health and faster horse turns.
Color Bearer
The Color Bearer, also known as the Flagman or Color Bearer in American English, is a unit that carries the regimental color. Depending on the country you are playing in, the color will change; additionally, different French regiments may have different colors.
The equipment menus for the Infantry Regiment have the color bearer located at the bottom right. Since the color bearer lacks a ranged weapon, it is primarily dependent on its team to defend it from ranged enemies.
Color bearers can bestow a special buff on everyone near the unit. It is a short distance, so players must get as close to the color bearer as possible. It boosts melee swing speed.
If several Flag Guards encourage their comrades, it may accumulate. When paired with two or three other Color Bearers, a sapper’s axe can accelerate to nearly twice the speed of a sword.
Rifleman
Riflemen rankers are armed with a rifle and a sabre briquet or sword bayonet. The rifle is a weapon with a long range. Its great accuracy comes at the expense of a slow (15-second) reload speed.
Although the rifle bears similarities to a musket or musketoon, it differs from the two in terms of its stock and trigger guard, lacks a bayonet, and has a shorter barrel that just barely touches the wooden frame.
Musicians
Musician-based classes are the drummer, fifer, bugler, and piper. They use musical instruments to make music. There are currently five musical instruments in the game; two of them are unique to the skirmisher and cavalry regiments, and one is only available in the United Kingdom.
Any of these instruments that are playing will give a reloading buff to the teammate who is closest to you when you reload. Unfortunately, because every instrument in the game serves the same purpose, this is the only time the musical instrument is used.
Players primarily use this to “negotiate peace” with the opposing faction or just to have a dance party, so this is usually disregarded.
Sapper
Sapper is a line infantry rank. They carry a hammer for building, an axe with a two-hit kill, and a shovel for digging up dirt.
The axe does not strike as quickly as the knife or sword, nor does it have the range of a pike, but it packs a powerful punch, killing a fully healed player in two hits. In comparison to other melee weapons in the game, it also deals a lot more damage to barricades.
Although it can be used offensively as well, the axe works best in defensive situations. Since the target would have so little health remaining after just one axe hit that even a regular sword could finish them, sapper axes are particularly effective when used in groups.
They can also charge blindly at an opponent who is weaker in close quarters because their weapon can defeat them in one hit.
Lancer
Depending on the faction, lancers are anti-cavalry and anti-infantry shock units that are armed with a lance and either a sword or sabre. Only lancer rankers use the lance. They have a horse with moderate speed.
However, Hussars are faster than them. Lancers have a single attack direction and are difficult to maneuver over hills.
Partisan
They can spawn with any primary or secondary weapon at any time. Their main spawning weapons are a light or line musket, a pistol, a rifle, a musketoon, an axe, a sledgehammer, a pike, a war scythe, a war shovel, or a branch.
Secondary weapons include the sword, Sabre, Sabre Briquet, Sword Bayonet, Hand Axe, Knife, Hammer, and Sickle.
D Tier
Heavy Cavalry
Heavy cavalry carry cavalry pistols and heavy swords. They also use a large, heavy horse. They have mediocre horse speed. Their horse’s speed on an uphill climb is worse than that of any other class.
F Tier
Pikeman
Pikeman, also known as Pikemen, is an anti-cavalry class in the Russian Empire’s militia tab. The primary purpose of pikemen is to act as anti-cavalry because their pike can quickly pierce and kill a horse. However, it is one of the worst classes in the game for most players.
They have slow movement speed and a slow thrust rate, and they are unreliable in most CQC cases.
